Not sure about that...when we beat them in football we were also beating them in the all sports race .

if usf wasn't trash in pretty much every other sport their fans would be in here harping on it. But since they are, now they "only care about football" lol

I don't think you could get away with awarding more points for men's sports vs women's. Best you could do is scale the points based on attendance at the game. This would also encourage people to show up for these games.

In addition to a ranked football team
Men's soccer made NCAA tourney

Women's basketball will also
Men's golf made nationals last year.
Men's tennis did also

And that's just top of my head.

I like that idea but let's face it how many fans would show up for golf, cross country, track etc. it's only posted as wins on this board but really not many care.
I mean I was happy our men's golf went all the way to nationals last year but I wasn't going to go watch them or even watch on tv.

To be honest, now as a 'displaced' Bull near (in Texas) near to in-conference schools (Dallas, Houston), I have on occasion attended USF 'olympic' sports during away events here... It's fun, but pretty lightly attended. But honestly I never did when I was in Tampa.

Maybe other fans are different, but for myself, when football wins I smile all summer... when football is God-awful, I fret all summer. (Went a few years without smiling much...!) I hate to say it becuase those kids work darn hard and earn their scholarships, but olympic accomplishments do absolutely nothing to make me feel better. They just don't get the national attention.

We lost the war on i-4 in football to ucf. Who knew? I seem to remember USF winning by 41 2 years ago and by 17 last year, holding a 6-2 series lead.

what is the worst loss usf has taken in their own building? Im thinking this week's game may beat it!

UCF is sending a few buses of students, I think we'll likely outnumber the home team yet again.

If no one comes to watch, do they matter? Should they be scored in this competition? I think no, but I'm probably in the minority. Maybe you set up a baseline of 1000 or 2000 in attendance. Everything with less attendance than that, gets credit like there were that many.

You kiddies are smart enough to realize that when a team stinks, it's common that no one attends... right? I'm sure someone (I would never do this...) could post BHNS pics from your 0-12 season to make the point... but someone needs to keep it classy around here.

I'm sure you will tromp all over us Thursday night... as our season is a train wreck of legendary proportions... enjoy!

our 0-12 season is actually very similar in attendance numbers to the usf best ever season this past year ...

our 0-12 season is actually very similar in attendance numbers to the usf best ever season this past year ...

But our 2007 numbers were better than UCF's best season.
