Not sure how ODU-La Tech would turn out this year but last year they would have beat the dogshittt out of ODU. We played both teams (La Tech twice) and there was no comparison. Be glad you didn't play them last year. I have no idea what criteria Judge Judy is using for schedules but it seems like ours is always one of the toughest conference-wise. We get La Tech again this year with a completely new staff and loss of a lot of talent. Would've been a good year to not play them. Otoh we've played them all 3 years we've been in the league yet haven't played Charlotte once and we're both in the East.

Well, since you brought that aspect up you have me wondering about it too. The C-USA schedule makers probably cost ODU some big $ this season by keeping the football team out of Ruston (or Tech out of Norfolk). Another regular season win (instead of one of the other teams they lost to) would have given the team 10 wins going into the conference tournament and put them into the championship game where they could have beaten Tech again and then had 11 wins going into the Bowl Season. Those 2 extra wins would have given ODU a better and higher paying bowl game, and probably kept ODU from having a 12 win season.

Is Marshall still technically alive for the 4th seed? If ODU and Rice both lose twice, then Marshall and ODU would be tied for 4th (and if Rice bets WKU, all 3 would be tied). Marshall and ODU split their season series, so neither team holds the first tie-breaker. Not sure how the next level of tie-breaker would work out.

We beat ODU like a pee wee team, and then their Ring of Faith wasn't so faithful and they jumped one of our players like they were jumping him into the gang. 10 on 1 on the ODU sideline. That game was over in the first quarter. It was men and boys playing. There is no woulda, coulda, shoulda you can say that makes that game anything other than what it was. A team feeling their oats because they had beat up some bad teams. ODU. Then a championship team beat them black and blue on the field and the scoreboard. You found out what kind of team you actually had that Saturday. A pretender, not a contender. Western played a physical brand of football. Lots of teams couldn't handle that and get slappy like ODU did on the sideline.

We LOST to La Tech at their place and it was a good game up here. So I know what both teams had last year. They would have pounded you just like we did.

Please tell me your football guys aren't as bad as Tardzik. Cletus from Tidewater, say it ain't so.

You have a 1 game sample from ODU and 2 from LT. That doesn't mean anything. They other hyperbole just makes you seem bitter.

That would be like me claiming that since you lost by 20 to a mediocre"ish" ODU team on Saturday, you must be like the worst team in the nation. It was like men against boys, etc.

La Tech beat us 55-52 in Ruston and lost here 58-44. That's a football team. Not a team that built a record beating bad teams.

ODU does not have Trey Freeman this season to bail them out tournament time....My prediction is ODU goes home early in this years tournament...

I won't argue with this. We improved through the season but we were clearly outclassed on the field on a few occasions and WKU was the worst of it. You guys had a top 25 team last year imo.

One caveat to my statement though. By "outclassed" I mean on the field performance because your players certainly didn't have any.
