The five local middle school kids now face charges that will be filed with the Palm Beach County States Attorney's Office.

According to CNN, there was a group of protesters demonstrating on the corner at the time of the incident; although, it is unclear if the suspects have any connection to the demonstration.

Joyce Judd, a local woman, drew on the distinct change in behavior over the last 50 years. She commented on the Facebook post:

“I remember when Pres. Kennedy would fly in to PBIA. We would line Southern Blvd and wait for the red Cadillac convertible to pass by. No one ever would have thought to throw anything at his car (or him) ... It is a sad testimony to our country that in 50 years, our attitudes and behaviors have changed so much. It is shameful behavior...and I am ashamed that it happened in my hometown.”

While everyone seemed to agree “kids do stupid stuff,” opinions differed greatly on what the appropriate punishment should be. One user hopes the “thugs” are “prosecuted to the full extent of the law,” while another user claimed they “deserve a medal.”

Community Service for a few months and let them learn that way. Lucky they didn't get shot considering the Secret Service is trained to react to anything that could be considered a threat to the President.

Parents, teachers, BLM, million women's march have all add fuel to the fire...madinna said she wanted to blow up the White House. BLM has come out very very anti Trump. Middleschool kids are easily influenced by what they see and hear and their peers.

These five need to be taught a lesson. If they don't respect the president I doubt they respect anyone in authority.

Yea that seems about right... Cleaning up dog scat in the local dog park on weekends for the next 3-4 months should be sufficient.

Atleast they didn't throw a shoe.

Any damage to the vehicle should be the responsibility of the parents..and I'd make them come and apologize in person to the President on his next visit. Nothing more. The punishment is the same as my Dad made me do when I did a similarly stupid stunt as a kid. I learned my lesson.

Teach them a hard but valuable lesson in respecting laws, authority and others who you disagree with or these Middle Schoolers will graduate to throwing objects during riots or committing acts of violence to make their point.

Dunno about a "Long" time, since they were frickin' MIDDLE SCHOOLERS (and we can pretty much guess this was either a child prank, or SOME REALLY BAD PARENTING AGAIN)>

But I'll be honest, I'd put them through the first stages of coming under arrest and detainment by the Secret Service, with all the guards, guns, holding cells, etc... and then let's see if they do it anything again like it in the future.
