You may have written this tongue-in-cheek, but it's a valid theory. We keep learning and re-learning not to compare what Trump says to what other politicians and past presidents have said. This guy doesn't and won't speak like a politician. While we have been gnashing our teeth over his narcissism and irrationality, he's signed a dozen presidential directives, some of which are on pretty substantial issues. And, generally, it seems like most of the MSM are still talking about voter fraud (and, today, The Wall, of course). I'm still not sure what to think about the guy but I am absolutely convinced that most of what he says is calculated.

Too early to tell yet, but this may in fact be true. I'm starting to wonder if this is his form of ropeadope.

And it works well. He's tearing it up and neither the left nor the media can keep up.

He's all but shut down the EPA, pulled out of the UN, and started construction on the wall and y'all are wasting energy on crowd sizes, LOL.

There is something else that could get Donald be a one term President. Unraveling many things that have been in place for years could cause series damage. Our farmers and ranchers depend selling their crops not just for the US, but to other countries. They are different than from the manufacturing companies. They do not employ much employees.
Second, there are several issues or laws on the books that have to do with disability people. If the regulations are cut back? Businesses and factories will not be friendly or accessible for the disabled.
Third, The taxes on Mexico to pay for the wall could hurt the pocket books for the US Citizens. Products and lettuces and all that could be charged by 20% which could lead to a trades war.
Fourth, many areas of the country only have one clinic in the area, and that is usually a planned parenthood clinic. Defunding them could hurt on general health of that populated community. The poor have to travel a long ways to get care.

This guy thinks he's just successfully gaslighting the media.

It is clear that he sometimes took the Madonna approach, saying something even more outrageous than before to get people to pay attention to him.

I believe it's the media that keeps doing the crowd comparisons to Obama, because they know it annoys Trump.

What he needs to do is stop showing the leftist media what agitates him or they're going to continue pressing his buttons, then he goes on a rant, then it's front page news. They're going to do anything they can to get a reaction out of him.

So if PP is the only clinic nearby, general health isn't being seen to and "the poor have to travel a long way to get care".

Think I already said that. Oh weelzy. If you need it reinforced again, let me know.

He could have ignored the temptation to strike back last Saturday with regards to his crowd size.

He could have said to himself, "Dear Self, while my improbable, yet historic presidential win is a yuge deal, it's futile to compare my inauguration to the fanfare surrounding the inauguration of the nation's first black president, one who (at the time) was quite popular. Leave it alone Donald"

Then David Muir wouldn't have had to bring it up during that ABC interview. And even if Muir did bring it up, Trump could have said "You know, that's in the past, it's time to Make America Great Again".

But that's taking the high road. And we all know he's incapable of doing that.

Misdirection misdirects

Trump throws one daily

The flash produced momentarily activates allphotoreceptor cells in the eye, making vision impossible for approximately five seconds, until the eye restores itself to its normal, unstimulated state. An afterimage will also be visible for a considerable time, impairing the victim's ability to aim with precision. The loud blast is meant to cause temporary loss of hearing, and also disturbs the fluid in the ear, causing loss of balance.

As an aside:

I'm now super interested in this Billy Beer. If Billy Carter said it was the best he's ever tasted, it must be true!

(Apparently, he drank Pabst privately).
