As football stands now, this isn't a winning situation for the AAC. It is likely that by the time this game takes place, Scott Satterfield will be gone and ECU will be back to their usual 6-6 to 8-4 type seasons. Sad the game isn't happening this year as App already has Wake Forest in Boone as well and this App rendition should be as good if not better than the teams with 20 wins the past two seasons.

App takes the gate from the neutral site game in Charlotte. Really is a steal considering more fans will be at this game than the 35,000 that would be in Boone.

I don't like this deal at all, because AS gets all the ticket sales from the game at the Carolina Panthers' stadium and it doesn't count against them as a home game.

Terrible deal all around for ECU and the AAC.

When the P5's demand 2-1's in many situations, you have to schedule FCS.

Considering that since moving to FBS, App has been the better team it is especially important that ECU maintain a perception of being the better football school. If App takes this series and begins to assert themselves in state it really could erode some of ECU's clout in recruiting the state.

App and ECU are far more similar than ECU is to State and UNC.

(ECU education but grew up near App, I feel especially qualified to speak on the qualitative differences or similarities between the two schools)

You got your coach from Georgia Southern....who despite having a new coaching staff filled with high school coaches finished ranked higher than Tulane...

App State is in FBS and has been receiving votes in the coaches poll throughout the season and was one defensive series at Troy from being ranked in the AP Poll.

App also takes the gate from Charlotte which will likely sell 40,000 to 55,000 tickets due to a concentration of both ECU and App State alumni around the 85 corridor from Charlotte to the Triangle area.

I doubt many of you truly believe the P6 desire, but for those of you that do, ECU negotiated a better deal with App than both Miami and Wake Forest did. They were both required to play a home game in Boone prior to App traveling to their stadium.

Since we won't find out the full details of the series until next week, let wait until then to pass judgement. I got a feeling it will make our AD look like an even bigger dumba**.
