speaking of SBC baseball, how does the conference look going into the season? I think its a given CCU, Ark State, and ULL should be really good, but I have no Idea about the rest of the conference. It looks like App has found a really good coach, but he is going to need time to clean up the mess left by the former coach. Again, don't know much about the rest of the conference but I'm hoping we can be a top 7ish conference.

So the Player of the Year last year only makes it as a 2nd Team All-American... Yeah that makes sense.

my fault, again, I haven't kept up with baseball, I thought Ark State was one of the better teams, if not please educate me on who should be good, average, and bad.

We've got like a quarter of the facilities the rest of the conference does for baseball. Because of that, we're generally a middle or bottom half of the league team outside of a couple good years every now and then.

Average: But generally a conference tournament team, sometimes above average

It's only been two years and we went to the finals of the conference tourney last year! '15 was rough, but we went to the NCAA tourney in '14. It's not worth arguing with a Mets fan over and I'm going to be quiet going into this season.

Of course we haven't always performed the way I would like but it's college baseball. At the risk of getting in a dick measuring contest, more often than not, GS baseball is at the top end of a conference than the middle or bottom.

I have no idea what whether we'll be Jekyll or Hyde this year after losing our weekend rotation plus the weekday starter(s)

You were not in the Sun Belt in 2014. Right now, you don't have the success to challenge the top 3 in the league. Winning the Southern Conference is just not the same thing.

Under Hennon our win totals are usually 32-37-- good but not great. Occasionally we throw in A 40 win season. I think honestly we are between the 3rd and 5th best program in the Belt

I'd forgive you for not following SLC baseball, but I'd put UTA on par with Texas State and Georgia Southern. The Mavs won the SLC tourney our last year, finishing ahead of the 'cats. Our lone year in the WAC we were regular season champs. In the three years in the SBC, we have finished ahead, behind and tied with TXST. (We just suck against them in any conference tournament in any sport)

Maybe he was following SLC baseball and noticed we won the last 3 regular season titles back-to-back-to-back before leaving the conference.....
