South Florida has fired Orlando Antigua, per release. Murray Bartow is named interim head coach.

I do not see what is gained from an in-season firing . It is too early to hire a quality coach for next season.

At this point for both schools anything is better than what they had/have. A change shows they are done with the crap and will get ahead of the silly season.

Bartow is a good coach and USF may actually win a game or two now. I wouldn't be surprised if improved the team enough to maybe get the job on a permanent bases

All joking aside, I do think USF has the potential to be a good basketball program. Go get a good coach. I'm jealous, to be honest.

Yeah...I know what you mean. But...Heath and Holtz are off the books at the end of the fiscal year. Leavitt was paid off years ago and didn't come from the athletic department coffers.

COA will likely only be paid for one month's salary if the university can show 'cause' for firing him due to NCAA infractions under his watch.

USF is actually going to be setup nicely financially moving forward due in part to the the sweetheart deal we got on Strong's first two years, CWT having to pay USF a $1.7-million buyout and a commitment for increased football budget by Judy.
