RE: Know Your Enemy: The Texas Longhorns
KenPom favors Texas by 7.
UT Arlington is 9-3, with road wins over Texas and St. Mary's. They beat Texas by 11 and St. Mary's by 14.
UT Arlington is a significant reason the Sun Belt is ranked higher than C-USA by KenPom.

RE: Know Your Enemy: The Texas Longhorns
I threw this up in the end of the Southern thread but I figure most have not seen it.
A sportswriter on another board I read said this:
"Saw Texas in person last night. This is going to be a down year for them - losing Taylor hurt a lot. They take forever to get into their offense because they're constantly looking to the bench for a set, and have to run a set every time down to generate even an okay look. Having Taylor around would make everything easy for the young guys. The good news, though, is that with Roach, Davis, Jones, Young, and Mack, they have a bunch of quick, strong guards who are freshmen or sophomores. Looks like one more recruiting class (and Cleare graduating) and Smart could implement the havoc full-time if he wanted."

I'd agree with all of that. I'd align them with Memphis who also struggles with out a true point guard.

I think this game will be similar to the Auburn and Memphis games. Maybe we won't blow this one in the second half.
