Bowling Green is not a football town. Sorry, that's a fact.Throw all the demeaning terms out there you want. You don't see any Toppers fans trying to make it into something it is not. They could've announced 18,000+ just like like about everyone else would do. What can I say?

So angry at BG for not turning out for this game. This team deserved better. The fans that were there were into the game.

The other factor is local high schools will actually be playing later tonight in the HS championship games. Tough to sit outside for 4 hrs + another 3 starting at 9:00 pm.

Look, I know our fan base needs to grow, but our athletic marketing department is butthole when it comes to promoting. It could be better if they reached out to local business for support and actually put forth any effort.

Hard to get people to the game when it's on ESPN. Sit in the stands or sit at home eating wings and drinking a cold one? This should have been blacked-out in the BG area. It sucks but sometimes you have to do it.

Ive said it for quite some time. We have one of the worst fan bases in the country per our success. It infuriates me. I'm going to enjoy our on-field success and try not to worry about other factors out of my control.

Yes, best thing you can do. Sometimes i feel like I'm wasting too much negative energy on it, but it's always bugging me in the back of my mind

I disagree. I think marketing has been better. I've been around WKU enough to know we have our core fans and beyond that it better be 4pm kick off and 72 degrees.

I brought people that have never been to a WKU today, it's the only way we can grow. UK playing at the same time hurt, WKU has trouble competing against them, especially when they are ranked #1. It was cold out there but bearable...44 and cloudy with a slight Breese

Congrats WKU, I wouldn't worry about the attendance. It is what it is, none of us are going to jump up and start selling out, its a grind. But keep winning and they will come.

It was a great game to watch on TV.
