UNCG beat this team 60-42. Should we just stop now?

It's rare when I can say that the Tribe is more long and athletic than their opponent.

The Pierce follow up dunk is becoming commonplace.

27 assists on 32 made baskets. That is good team play.

RE: Presby Game
Paul and Greg quietly combined for 22 points (8 for 12) and shot 60% from the 3. That's a pretty good sign.

Some of you had Jack coming off the bench after Knight's game vs L'ville. Do you still feel that way?

Love to see how deep this team is. We can have multiple key players go cold and still be an offensive threat.

Safe to say that Paul Rowley is going to be a much bigger piece to the puzzle this year than many of us thought. Enjoy watching him play.

Great to see Greg start to get his rhythm and confidence back.

I disagree there.

I thought we looked just great for most of the game. However, I thought Presbyterian looked a hell of a lot better than a predicted #10 team from the Big South. They played aggressive defense and we had little success driving inside. Thankfully, we can drain threes with consistency.

RE: Presby Game
Presbyterian was a better team than I thought they would be. It wasn't long ago we were barely beating a team like. Coach Shaver has done a marvelous job and elevated our program. We just need to climb one more hump to elevate the program one more level.

RE: Presby Game
I thought Presby was decent, definitely better than 10th in the Big South. They have some excellent shooters and a couple talented freshman. They just don't have any height. Their 6'9" guy comes off the bench and no one else is over 6'7". That's tough when the opposition has a couple players, like Jack and Nate, that can do damage inside.

It was satisfying to see us take care of business, instead of playing down to the competition, that has been the case in the past. I want to see that same attitude against Liberty, Hampton, Savannah State, et al.

Also, watching Paul Rowley play HAS to put a smile on your face. The kid just loves to play! Man, if he smiled any wider, he'd have to have a larger face.

03-thumbsup

RE: Presby Game
I thought our guys were anything but sloppy; 27 assists on 32 baskets indicates great team play.
We had few turnovers and played tough all over the court.

When this talented team has a good night shooting their threes they can defeat most teams.

RE: Presby Game
I think people are getting confused between up tempo that can get a little frenetic and sloppy. We're protecting the ball and not forcing shots. We'll see how we do against Duke. Again I'm hoping for a 20 point margin or less. Didn't get it at Louisville.

Presbyterian had a 6'5" senior post player named Drew who was schooling Whitman in the paint last night.

Attendance is listed at 2400. It felt like a bigger crowd than that in my opinion, surprised the actual number is so low.

Drew had 10 pts, 5 rebs, 0 asst, and shot 50%. That's schooling Whitman?
