First day of the Sun Belt women's soccer tournament is in the books.

#1 South Alabama beats #8 Troy 1-0

#2 Coastal Carolina beats #7 Arkansas State 3-0

#3 UA Little Rock beats #6 ULM 2-0

#4 App State beats #5 ULL 3-0

App will play USA, and Coastal will play UALR on Friday.

Watched the second half do App-ULL, saw all 3 goals. App looked pretty good, but I think my Jags will take care of business.

Yes they have. We have more trouble with App than anyone else. Looking forward to a good game.

Really a big game for the Apps. A win against USA would be a huge step for the program.

Sometimes, because of all the pain, I forget we have sports other than football.

Not sure what happened yesterday, if our offense just started clicking or if App changed game plans (not putting a ton of defenders like most SBC schools do against us). Looking forward to a good match.

Any idea about the weather tomorrow? Are the winds supposed to be as bad? Would like a game in fair weather. With our scoring coming from speed and breaks the wind has absolutely hampered us 50% of the game (going into it). All 5 of our goals thru two games have been in the two halves we went with the winds.

Congratulations. It was a battle but USA just proved to be too much for Coastal to handle.

Congrats Jags. Gave you a good shot. Had our chances, as you had yours, for 50 minutes. Your top end talent came through though. Second will have to do for now. It's been without doubt our best season to date overall.
