THAT was a great game. Enjoyed it immensely.

so many will never forget this one....

it's only happened 4 times now when down 1-3.....

the romantics of the sport is as good as the Masters on Sunday....

it's like being a boy again regardless of age.....

Told my wife who is a non sport fan earlier tonight: if you ever watch a baseball game in your lifetime- this is the one game that you want to watch.

This entire MLB Post Season was the best I can remember, from the Wild Card games all the way to Game 7 of the World Series. Loved it, except that my Astros were not invited.

I don't want to brag (yes I do) but a quick review of this particular litany of posts reflects that CameramanJ and I are the only ones on this site who predicted "CUBS IN SEVEN"!!!!!!!!! Now, if I had only been right about MT versus those damn Hill Toppers and those elitist Dores; I'd change my handle to Nostradamus.

What a great game and what a great series. Would have been happy for either team, but glad Cubs finally won it all. Will miss mlb baseball until next season. Go Braves Go in 2017!

See that is one thing that bugs me about baseball strategies like that..... the double play isn't always guaranteed granted it can be at any base but why would you set up a score too in that manner?

Another reason is that it is not necessarily just to set up a double play. You are creating a force opportunity at any base there except home. It is designed to increase your odds of getting an out. Sometimes - it just doesn't always work out that way. You have to tip your cap to a guy who makes an adjustment like Zobrist did and hits the ball to the opposite field.

Actually I think what we've established here is stinkfist and TIBL know a little about baseball. Granted I did work with three different MLB franchise before changing lives but still...

it's kinda cool when you got to play almost all of them (organized ice hockey still isn't an option in the 'burg)....but it's the first toss with pops when it all started....

the bat and the ball will always be my fave until I finally hit the dirt on my last stride into the slide...

After I had to hang them up, I didn't watch baseball for about two or three years. It was too hard. That even includes time when I was working my low level AA job. Wouldn't watch a pitch. Just did the job. Getting a chance to work in player development and scouting cured that. It was the next best thing to be on the field.

Theo Epstien has a brilliant mind. It bugs the total crap out of me the Cubs got him.
