The other ranked G5 teams who could get the access spot are Boise State (14) and- this stings- Western Michigan (20), where our DC from last year, Duggan, landed.

If Duggan goes to the access bowl, expect anger.

Why is this important to CUSA?

I can see why a S. Miss fan might get a little joy out of Houston losing but shouldn't that go on your team board? Hey no big deal this board is slow...for the middle of football season. A few weeks ago it might have even related to CUSA but once Houston loss to a eastern conference member they were a long shot to get to the G5 spot in the bowls. But it's really not about that. Right?

Like I said, no big deal to me...it just looks like sour grapes or a jilted lover on the conference board

Plus, if it's NO BIG DEAL, then why even reply....and then retort with such a psychological mish-mash of a post?

IF you guys had been in C-USA for 2 decades instead of Div 2 or 3 or whatever it was, you'd understand, capiche? 03-lmfao

Oh, I understand. Like I said some S. Miss fans feel like they got left behind by a team they considered a rival and take joy in them losing. And it makes it even better because S. Miss fans...know that team that left them behind doesn't really feel the same way about them. Never did, always thought they were better, even in losing. And today those fans look at S. Miss as a good little D2 or what ever team

Did I get that correct?

But it still has zero to do with CUSA.

..and I didn't realize unless one "talks" about the 100 miles of Hate, WKU basketball and/or conference non-expansion on here, it ain't relevant?03-lmfao

I'll post whatever I like on here, without your permission, and you can either ignore it (like I do most of your inane posts) or join in with the fun...your choice, amigo.04-cheers

I believe I said that? I just asked what it has to do with CUSA and the only answer I got was "your D2 team wouldn't know"

Hey as you said...you don't need my permission to keep acting like a jealous, heart broken, fan, of a school that got left behind...

by a team and fans that have long ago forgot about S. Miss.

WKUYG, you are correct. We are bitter. We enjoyed owning Houston when they were in C-USA. We seriously need to pay more attention to UTSA now.

Houston and Cincy just got used and abused in the parking lot and dumped before the dance by the Big12.

I just asked what it has to do with CUSA?
[/quote]

Maybe that's all you ASKED, but certainly not all you "said"..(are you D. Drumpf's Press Secretary?)

and I guess I shoulda replied thusly, my annoying friend: "Yooston was in C-USA a lot longer than mighty WKU has been (in a watered down league with a watered down So Miss), but since you were fightin' for a Div 2 or 3 regional championship at the time, you must not remember. IF you like to keep repeatin' all that childish gibberish about "jealousy or sour grapes", help yourself, but I "heard" ya the first time...04-cheers

It's funny, WKU and UTSA own us, yet we want to own Houston, Memphis, and Tulane again, even though we didn't think that much of them when we were abusing them regularly.

WKU and UTSA have given us seeds for rivalry, but we sneer at them like they're not good enough.

But it still has zero to do with CUSA.

I don't think that's correct. Houston and USM were conference mates for 17 years, from 1996 to 2013. I followed the conference that entire period and never got the feeling that Houston looked down its nose at USM, aside from the normal fan bias that their own school is always better than the other guy's.

If anything, Houston was the butt of conference jokes for its lousy attendance in football and basketball, its lousy basketball, and "coogin it" generally. Some fan got the idea that Houston was the conference "flagship", and the ridicule really piled on after that.

we whiffed this in more way than one...

I'd love to see WM get a shot and Duggan send Hop a thank you note at xmas....

that firing was almost as stupid as the elllllllllllloss hiring....

we can't help but get in our own way attempting to achieve success after decades of tomfoolery decision making....

some call it 'being cursed'....I flat out call it dipshite decision making by those w/o a clue what it takes to grow success outside of the 'burg....

Well actually those fans seem to have been correct...

now days some S. Miss fans fans seem to agree with that...must if you start this topic. Of point out in every other thread how strong Houston was. Or if you look at who moved on and was the most talked about school going to the Big12.

In that case those Houston fans talking about "flagship: were correct. Hell even losing you can still be that...ask a few Marshall fans and as I pointed out a few S. Miss.

And they are mostly correct...in name only
