Andrew Gantz out for the year
Tubby just said during his radio show

Already burned his redshirt

As if the season couldn't get any worse

I'd assume he'd be eligible for a medical redshirt.

Medical is up to the NCAA, but he should get it.

RE: Andrew Gantz out for the year
Don't they have to prove a reason for the first redshirt in order to get a medical. Didn't Ben Mauk redshirt at wake, transfer here and get denied for a redshirt because it couldn't be proven his redshirt year at wake was due to medical purposes? If so, I don't think Gantz gets it. I could be wrong - it happened once before.

Have to ask the obvious question. Did we bring him back too early or was the original injury which was not supposed to be a very big deal so serious that he would be out for the season regardless? This is very Doc Hollywood-esq

There are two other kickers on the team - one a frosh and one a soph. One of them must be better than what we have been seeing. Is it time to burn a Red Shirt?

Why are they on the team if they are not better than what we have seen?

RE: Gantz done for the year!
CTT said the problem was the holder for the left footed kicker was injured last week. He thinks it will be better this week (take it for what it is worth).

Not this year.

Why are they on the team if they are not better than what we have seen?

Kickers usually take time to develop, especially before they face a pressure filled situation.

If we get to the other team's 40, it's go for it time.

Hey, Steelers are going for 2 regularly now instead of kicking it. Good problem to have as long as you're getting into the end zone.

Most people who have played an FCS team, Purdue, and Miami would be livid if they didn't have three wins.

College 2 pt conversion is from the three and the Steelers have and HOF QB plus the league's best WR. We should not be going for two unless we need it.
