I'd assume he'd be eligible for a medical redshirt.

Medical is up to the NCAA, but he should get it.

Don't they have to prove a reason for the first redshirt in order to get a medical. Didn't Ben Mauk redshirt at wake, transfer here and get denied for a redshirt because it couldn't be proven his redshirt year at wake was due to medical purposes? If so, I don't think Gantz gets it. I could be wrong - it happened once before.

Have to ask the obvious question. Did we bring him back too early or was the original injury which was not supposed to be a very big deal so serious that he would be out for the season regardless? This is very Doc Hollywood-esq

Kickers usually take time to develop, especially before they face a pressure filled situation.

If we get to the other team's 40, it's go for it time.

Hey, Steelers are going for 2 regularly now instead of kicking it. Good problem to have as long as you're getting into the end zone.
