I agree. He has good field sense, so I can see why Carey made him a receiver to get him on the field. If Carey is going to insist on running the same offense we had with Lynch, then Maddie is a good approximation of JL.

Yes, I think Maddie will work out nicely. I still don't see us beating the Big 3 (WMU, CMU, Toledo), but we should be closer. And maybe by the time we play Toledo, Maddie will have enough experience under his belt to pull off a victory. And since we play CMU at home, we may be able to make it a bit interesting.

You probably thought the Steelers were in a free fall after they played the Eagles. Then they blew out the Chiefs last week. Just because a team gets creamed one week, it doesn't automatically send them into "free fall". You generalize way too much.

Yep. IF CMU is in a free fall, then NIU has hit the bottom of the bottomless pit.

Declaring someone to be in free fall is a Petty statement.

I would also consider giving Mister a look as a back up QB. Great scrambler. Not a great thrower though.

Santacantamaria must not be showing anything. I have never seen him take a snap

Considering he redshirted last year, why is that surprising?

I did notice Childers was dressed for the Ball State game, so it looks like they took 4 QBs there.

I feel like emergency = Graham is about to play in a non-blowout 2016 game.

If I recall WMU parted ways with Maddie before he came here. This is his only chance at revenge, he'll make it count.
