The fact they are firing Miles should give anyone considering that job reason to pause. Maybe he goes, but frankly, I think Herman is just fine making 3 million a year, winning games, and recruiting in 30 mile circle that always has him home for dinner. Personally, I think he sits tight and waits for the Texas job to open. Because of his recruiting, the cupboard is full here. He doesn't have rush off for fear there will be a big drop off next year. He will have more talent to work with next year than he does this year (plus his new indoor facility and weight room comes on line next fall). At 3 million a year, he can bide his time---Not to mention there is a decent chance a 5 million dollar bonus could pop in his account if UH heads to the Big12.

They will give him $5 million reasons and a premiere SEC job near Texas

Maybe Houston and LSU do a trade? I could see Art Briles to Houston to replace Herman.

what is ECU's obsession with houston losing it coach

last season it was majority ecu fans saying herman would leave in a second if south carolina offered that he was as good as gone...and literally 1 minute into les miles firing ecu fans are making threads that he is guaranteed in lsu

I'm just being a realist. USC, Notre Dame, and LSU are all looking around. He's gone this year.

LSU is a premier job. Herman will almost certainly take the job upon an offer.

What do USC and Notre Dame have to do with anything, if LSU (as your thread title suggests) is a done deal?

please spare me your realist...i heard that ALL offseason from you ECU fans that if he was offered by South carolina he was gone ..that sc was much better..guess what? he was offered .....and now coaching at SC *rolls eyes*

i can link you 5 different 30 page threads on this ...i dont get the obsession by ecu fans

and realist opinion would have had boises old coach stay with them for only 1 or 2 years he stayed for 9 years.....realist opinion would have had gary p gone from tcu year 2, he has been there for 15 years

is this a jealously thing, why is it mostly coming from 1 fanbase?

no one knows what will happen

RE: Tom Herman to LSU
lol....some of our conference mates seem to be far more interested in Herman leaving than Herman is. LSU is a good job, but Texas is what he wants. He can live in a big city like Austin, recruit close to home, have a much easier route to the playoff, and make more money than anywhere else (Texas is the highest earning program in the nation). Its the perfect fit for a guy with a young family who has a huge and growing Texas recruiting network.

That's sad. You should want your program to rise to our level, not hope and pray for us to fall down to yours.
