To all of us USM fans:

We got our butts kicked! Sure we made a game of it but Troy was in control the whole game. I'm not one to make excuses about losing, it wasn't the weather that made us lose because Troy was playing with the same wet ball we were and under the same conditions as us. But I will say this, we stunk the field up as Southern Miss. Mullen was not sharp, he was off target..and then, when he did hit the target...our receivers dropped many balls that should have been caught. We beat ourselves in that facet of the game. Even though Troy beat us on the scoreboard which is what counts, the only thing they dominated was against our offensive line. We need to drastically improve in that area. They came prepared when we weren't. The one thing that I will complain about is the Refs! Anyone at the game could see that the Refs weren't Southern Miss friendly! Several bad calls against us...and even a true die hard Troy fan would have to admit that!

It just wasn't our night..Troy players wanted this game more than our players...and their fans wanted this game more than our fans! I was there as always, and our fans disappointed me. Troy fanbase was louder than we were...they were into the game and their players felt it and it motivated them. Sure, our fanbase wanted to win but we weren't as vocal as they were...all I could hear and see was the Troy fans yelling De-fense, De-fense! All in all, our team wasn't in the game....and us as fans weren't in the game, period! We needed this game bad!

After getting screwed hard core in the Clemson game with the refs, I don't feel sorry for USM lol

And if you ask me, Texas got the short end of the stick against Cal, too. But I don't lose any sleep over a Cabal school getting screwed out of a game. But, Charlie Strong had a good reason to be upset about the way that game ended.

Mullens has thrown for 6 TD and 6 INT with a passer rating of 38. I said this before the season started that the key to beating Southern Miss is putting pressure on the QB and he is prone to mistakes. Tech is in the same boat this year with INT prone QB.

If ain't broke don't fix it.... Coaches have to adjust their "system" for the personnel, Tech has had a few coordinators like that also
