Say what you will UH homers...but UC has already been closer to getting the national championship trophy. And I'm not referring to UCs 2009 season. We all saw it on display at Nippert last night. 04-rock

Yeah, they showed it multiple times last night on TV. It was cool to see them bring and showcase it, and mention that this game had national championship implications.

It was cool. Bodes well for both UC and UHs expansion chances. Seems ESPiN is finally relenting. One couldn't look at the energy in that stadium and not think it was better than most of the P5 games they broadcast. And the announcers seemed on board with both.

Yup it was pretty exciting having espn announcers endorse you.

Looks like our captains were busy again last night, and climbed some buildings in Cincy.

At first glance I thought this was the scene of a Chick-fil-a Convention.

Agreed, Palmer was extremely complimentary of both programs, going so far to say there is no good reason why both should not be in a power conference, especially the XII. Had not heard an ESPN talking head during a game be so pro AAC teams ever.

And they were like that the whole game. Even the halftime crew was. Never saw that before even while the BE was kickin ass and taking names in the BCS bowls during Cincy's tenure there. The whole game I was thinking the tide is finally turning.

Palmer has always been very complimentary of UC. He has called number of our games over the years. From the last couple of days:

Jesse James Palmer ‏@JessePalmerABC · Sep 14  Cincinnati, OH

I love #Cincinnati

One of the best things about Cincinnati (and America) is @JeffRubys
Thanks for the incredible hospitality!

Yes, Houston and Cincinnati are solid football programs but let's not forget the other strong programs currently in this league who also have proven themselves over the years like -

Navy
ECU (repeatedly defeating so called p5 teams)
USF
Temple
UCF (awesome defeat over Baylor)
Tulsa
SMU (SWC)
Memphis
UConn (old Big east)
Tulane (1998 undefeated season)

My point for this ^^^ above, the AAC shouldn't be lumped with the G4's and rather be view as a power league or an independent conference till it gets paid what it deserves. I'm calling $13 mil floor numbers $$$ and settling at say $10 mil for everyone in the AAC.

If by some miracle we get 10 million plus, who do we pick off. I like SD state and Boise. Teams that can fill up their stadiums.

SDSU, Boise, BYU, and Air Force. If BYU isn't down and wants to get left behind, then Colorado State.

West:
Boise
San Diego State
Air Force
BYU/Colorado State
Houston
SMU
Tulsa
Tulane

East:
Cincinnati
Memphis
UCF
USF
Temple
Navy
UConn
ECU
