As a longtime Skins fan, I think it should be in the "Offensive Topics" forum.

RE: Redskins 2016-2017 season
So I got some tickets to this Sunday's game. It's my first Redskins/Cowboys games since the 2006 season (November 5th to be exact... Remember Remember the 5th of November). Needless to say I'm excited! I hope our players can get that bad taste our of their mouth by giving Dallas a proper beatdown. I'm looking to see Kirk get some confidence back in his game and make smarter plays. I would love for J Reed and D Jackson to have big games. Hopefully the defensive line doesn't get exposed two weeks in a row, going up against that Cowboys offensive line is not going to be an easy task.

Also, it's going to be strange seeing Alf wearing that disgusting star on his helmet. It hurt a little inside seeing him play last weekend. Out of all the teams he could have gone to, he had to choose the damn Dallas Cowboys...

In the end, BEAT DALLAS! Only VCU gets my emotions up as much as this team/game, and even then it comes at a close second. I will be very upset if we lose this game. Losing to the Cowboys always hurts, but going 0-2 is even worse, especially because we have the Giants the week after.

04-cheers I liked AM a lot. I heard he was on tweeter cheering the Redskins on Monday. Not many players come through here I feel worthy of purchasing a jersey of but if AM was to comeback I would buy one!

The only jersey I have bought myself were 21 Taylor and 47 Cooley

I have ST21, Santana Moss 89, a black Laron Landry jersey (was a birthday gift, I played DB in high school and wore 30 plus it looked really cool!), and an RGIII jersey... which I can no longer wear lol. I thought about getting Morris but once I heard rumors that the skins were getting rid of him I saved my money. But boy, would I love to have him back on the team this year with how our running game has fizzled out.

I had to tell family to stop buying jerseys for me. It seemed like every time I would get a jersey for Christmas or my birthday in January that player was gone by next preseason. I turned my Terry Allen jersey 21 in to a Dion Sanders in 2000

Imagine what my girlfriend feels as an Eagles fan the last few years lol. Her favorite player was DeSean Jackson and she wore his jersey for a few years, then he got cut. So she then got a LeSean McCoy jersey, he was only there for a year. Then she got a Nelson Agholor, and he caught one TD and was accused of sexual assault. She just bought a Wentz jersey and she's hoping that he sticks around or else she'll give up on buying jerseys for a long time haha

And I can't tell you how many friends of mine have taken their old RGIII jerseys and (no, not burned them or threw them away) taped up the back so much it has become a Cousins jersey. I find it hilarious lol, but my old RGIII jersey will likely stay in my closet for the forseeable future. I'm content with wearing my Sean Taylor one as I did all of last year and most of the year before that

lol yep sounds like me! I wear my Sean Taylor and Cooley all the time. 21 for obvious reasons but I actually hung out with Cooley and Colt Brennan once right after 08 season I think it was. I was at a friends farm up in NOVA playing paint ball, man hunt. Cooley and Brennan show up to play it was awesome. Cooley had a beat up chevy truck with no tailgate all our beer cans were flying out as we traveled around the farm shooting each other up. Both wanted to stay the night in the cabin but Cooley's gf ruined the fun. I always wonder if we had smartphones in 08 would we have been buddies lol.

I have to laugh because as a Giants fan I was embarrassed to wear my 80 Jeremy Shockey jersey.... until Victor Cruz came along. Some duct tape and markers and now it's Cruz. Makes it tough to wash though. I got it as a gift and was asked if I wanted Eli Manning and I said no, I want Shockey because he will be a MVP!

Was that his first wife or the Redskins Cheerleader he cheated on her with? lolol

That aside Cooley was the man. I was always so puzzled by his drastic drop in productivity. He went from one of the top TEs in the league to out of sight. I know injuries played into it but he had a huge dropoff and it was tough to see as a Redskins fan

I remember when Colt Brennan was drafted by the Redskins I really wanted him to be the starter... Injuries derailed his career before it even began and he was in a really bad place after his exit from the NFL. I hope he has gotten his life turned around, I heard his life kind of spun out of control a few years ago

The good news about duct tape is that you can always take it off to wash and reapply it haha. I used to love/hate Shockey because he was good but he also played for the Giants and gave the Skins headaches for a few years. But you're right, in retrospect Eli may have been a better choice lol

I wanna say it was the cheerleader chick at the time. I was up in Leesburg early summer and stopped in his art gallery. The lady there happen to be his current gf and baby momma. I like how Cooley and Portis are still connected to the team. I also had respect for James Thrasher he stuck around a few years after his career ended.

RE: Redskins 2016-2017 season
The Redskins are now not just 0-2 for the season, but 0-2 at home. Those are games you have to win. The Steelers game I can give a pass because I believe they're a top-5 team, but they should not have lost to the Cowboys yesterday. Their defense reminded me a lot of ODU's "bend but don't break" defense which killed them. Overall I don't think the Redskins played a bad game but 3 trips to the red zone that ended with 2 field Goals and an INT is unacceptable. This team better be ready to play this week or they're looking at an 0-3 start. And knowing how the skins have historically done in NY, it doesn't look too promising especially with how solid the Giants offense has looked.

On another note, I hate the gd Cowboys.

It wouldnt be the first time going 0-3. I am at a lost for words for the Redskins. I felt like coming out of last season we would only get better. Breeland has been a huge let down this season. No running game to help. I kinda felt something would go wrong during preseason when coaches didnt play much of the starters in any of the preseason games. I wanna say Cousin only played total 3 quarters the whole preseason.

It's too early to freak out. If they start 0-4, then I'm very concerned.
