Week 3 OOC games of note
Pitt vs OSU (Big12)
GT vs Vandy (SEC)
Duke vs Northwestern (B1G)
Syracuse vs USF (AAC)
Virginia vs UCONN (AAC)

Rest of ACC either has conf games or are playing body bag games. I put my predictions in bold. IMHO, the hardest one to call is Pitt vs OSU.

Agree - an it wouldn't surprise me if the ACC sweeps.

Already up 4-3 vs. P5s, it could go to 7-3 after this weekend.

Not so fast. USF is going to be a very tough test for Syracuse. I mean this with all due respect, but Syracuse is not quite there yet. Frankly I would be surprised if USF does not win this game.

You are forgiven since your team plays in the same conference as USF.
That said, Syracuse better not lose to the Bulls at home.

The Vegas betting line has USF favored by 12 1/2. Somebody doesn't look at this like a sure win for the Orange.

I don't think I am being partisan for saying this will be a "tough test" for Syracuse. If anything anyone saying Syracuse should win this game may have the blinders on. Syracuse isn't playing Colgate here. USF has a lot of size and speed across the board. Vegas doesn't disagree with me-- the line is set at 12.5 in favor of the Bulls.

I agree with Clifton, Taggert had the Bulls playing well at the end of last season. I haven't seen the Bulls yet this season but they should be a tough test for the Orange.

Virginia & UCONN will be a battle to see who the worst team in football is.

FWIW, the only one of these games in which the ACC team is favored is Georgia Tech (6 1/2 over Vandy).

RE: Week 3 OOC games of note
The Vandy/Georgia Tech game is intriguing. Obviously I want Vandy to win. I thought they'd lose to MTSU and they surprised me. I'm not as sold on Georgia Tech as I am FSU and Louisville so far. That one to me right now is an unknown.

For whatever reason Northwestern is struggling hard. I think Duke takes that one.

Pitt looked good against Penn State and even is OSU had won they didn't look very impressive against Central Michigan in my opinion. Gotta go with Pitt there.

I also don't know about the Virginia/UCONN game. I know UCONN was fairly competitive against Navy but Navy lost a lot from last season and their starting QB when out in the middle of their first game. They also struggled against Maine. Virginia hasn't looked good but in my opinion that's an unknown too.

I don't know how good Syracuse really is. That USF game could be a USF win. They have a pretty decent defense and they run the ball very well. That is also an unknown.

I could see the ACC winning them all and I could see the ACC losing 4 out of the 5. Obviously all of this is 100% my opinion.

It's why we play the games!

I think the cuse is better than what the odds are saying. I get it that Vegas odds are usually correct, but we'll see. I also know that USF has a long history of flaming out during the season after a strong start. Taggert is a different coach, so we'll see. I agree it will be a tough game.

How Northwestern can be favored over Duke is curious. NW lost to a MAC school week 1 and then FCS during week 2. Duke wins this one.

I would be very surprised if Cuse beats USF. They are top 25 quality this year.

Nothing would surprise me about USF. We've all seen USF make it into the top 10 at the beginning of the season and end up out of bowl contention by the end. Until they break that historical pedigree, I consider them a toss up.

Whose in the body bag this week? State or ODU? It's 50/50 at best that State is mentally prepared Saturday.

Experts rank USF at 40's in average, some even as high as top 25 while Syracuse is ranked at 80's. Even it is a home game for SU, how can they beat USF?

Is the U really playing a body bag game this week like you alluded to?

The line is Miami -3 1/2. So, no.
