RE: College basketball top 144 countdown
Buffalo has Ball State and Central Michigan twice... Bulls close out the season with four of their last five at home, including home games against Akron and Kent in that stretch.

EMU has Ohio and Akron twice. Those games should be exciting.

Someone(s) on this board will be right and someone(s) will be wrong.
EMU has a very tough conference schedule with the teams 'Nickle noted...
And the converse is also true, Akron and Ohio has to face EMU twice, as well. No walk in the park for them...

Actually today, according to Twitter posts, MAC, A-10 and SEC all released schedules today.
Getting schedules completed is like getting Congress to complete their work, don't count on it anytime soon.

EMU has toughest schedule by far, counting crossovers. ... UB, playing 4 of final 5 at home, should be worth a bye at the very least.
What about Akron ... NIU ... Ohio ... WMU... Toledo ???

I feel the toughest schedule goes to either OU or Akron. EMU only plays UB once, Akron and OU play them twice.

That means they will have played 8 road games and only 5 home games before then. Teams that succeed most importantly have to have some success on the road. If UB does that, they will earn a bye for running the gauntlet on the road in the East before those home games.
Good point ... some teams - don't know which - will be playing MAC several games at home before classes kick in ...which is better???
4 of 5 at home early
or
4 of 5 at home late ...
conversely ... would you rather play more of your road games in January or more road games in February ...
Just asking.

I know in Buffalo's case I would much rather be on the road early. We have by far one of the longest winter breaks in the country, like eight weeks off between winter and spring semesters so I am glad that we have few home games when students are on break.

Looking at the schedule of OU it evens out. Since OU is one of the top teams that means it doesn't have to play one of the top teams. So, OU will play KENT, BUFF, and AKRON 6 times. EMU will play KENT, BUFF, AKRON and OU 6 times.

So you are acknowledging that EMU is not one of the top teams?
