I figured you wold build a super computer called "MacNet" who would build NIU terminators.
Then i figured you would rebuild the remains of the college football world around a super conference that NIU rules.

Dude anyone who wanted to pitch them could, that doesn't mean you're actually worthy of the invite or even being considered. Arkansas State also got to pitch Big12, congrats! Your TV market puts you in what conversation? You don't carry the Chicago market, even at a marginal rate. We both know that is ND's market and Northwestern's after that. Hell, App is a part of the Charlotte TV market. If you're trying to sell that NIU can carry Chicago then I can use that same logic to say App can carry Charlotte. Neither are true. But good try.
Both of you guys are out of your minds....Nobody gives a rats ass about NIU in Chicago as evident by their high school attendance.....and Boone, NC....hell it's 2hrs from Charlotte! WTF????
As evidenced by the map above, regardless of 2 hours away or not...we're in the Charlotte market. With all the Non-Qualifiers on Marshalls roster I would hope you can pull a few W's out of your pocket.
Well since you are 2 hrs away and still in the "Charlotte market", does that mean we can claim Lexington, Ky and Cincinnati Ohio as part of our "market"???....Those cities are only 2 hrs away from Huntington!!!!

That depends. Is Huntington in Lexington and Cincinatti's DMA? Because Boone is in Charlottes. I would assume Huntington isn't part of Lexington or Cincinatti's DMA. So no that doesn't mean that. Sorry.
Unfortuante video that was made in 2005 but looks like it was made in 1990.
Still, I like App State. Would be a fun cross state rivalry. Plus they have the AppalCart public transportation.
I love app state. Its a really nice school in some of the most beautiful country in the nation. That video though...ouch.
Actually the school itself is kind of crappy looking and the actual town of Boone is pretty dumpy as well. Now, some areas around Boone are nice (Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, etc.) and there are lots of good hiking trails not far away, but like I said App State and Boone proper......not too good.

LMAO it's consistently regarded as one of the best, if not the best, looking campus' in the state and region. Lololol there's plenty of things you can say to talk **** about App State, saying its not a beautiful campus is not one of those things. But I see you have ties to UNCC so I'll take your statement with a grain of salt. Hopefully your football program will finally have some resemblance of a pulse when we face off in 2017... probably not but one can hope.

Trust me, I am in BR often and have been to MANY college campuses. App State's campus is nowhere NEAR the prettiest. In fact, it is one of the blandest I have seen. Most people are talking about the surrounding mountains if they compliment App, not the campus itself. It blends in with fast food places and strip shopping centers along Hwy. 321/BR Road. Buildings are way too tight on the campus, with not nearly enough green space ON CAMPUS. Not pretty, at all.

Boone is a college town. I went to ECU and Greenville is what I would define as dumpy. Appalachian State simply fits in with it's surrounding and in my opinion, takes on the character of the area as being minimalist in a way. One thing you are trying to do that you really shouldn't is separate the campus from the surrounding area. The mountains is what makes Boone and the surrounding areas as spectacular as they are.

It's fairly easy to see that campus, at least living quarters start at the Wendy's. I'm not sure what dog you have in trying to downplay the environment around Boone. Take a stroll down North Tryon toward uptown, maybe three miles from Charlotte's campus and you will find the "dumpy" type of place you are looking for.

I call BS. I went to ECU so I'm surely no fan of Appy but their campus is beautiful. The town of Boone is cool and the mountains around are awesome. I'm sure it is a cool place to go to school and to watch a football game.
It's a college town which I think is cool and totally better than an urban environment like Charlotte.

Greenville is not dumpy. There are parts that are dumpy (just like every other town). It's a college town with actually a ton of development going on now around campus and the downtown area.
You may want to come back and visit when you're not in Boone.

Greenville is not dumpy. There are parts that are dumpy (just like every other town). It's a college town with actually a ton of development going on now around campus and the downtown area.

I am actually in High Point. Regardless, the dumpiest parts of Greenville and the surrounding areas are far more dumpy than Boone. I still receive crime alerts from campus notifications and things really haven't changed a whole lot.
