Good thing the BTN was created and gave Chuck Long a job, cause I don't think could run a root beer stand. The guy took to many shots to the melon.

I suspect Fleck had the same plan for him that Cubit did.

RE: Maddie playing well
He's got quick feet. Yards after the catch.

Arnhem transitioned well from QB to WR.

Cubit was a great developer of QBs, and pegged this move years ago. My question is can Fleck develop QBs? Is Terrel a product of Cubit or Fleck?

I suspect we won't know until Wassink sees the field, but for now Fleck has barely shown he can retain QBs let alone develop them.

I would say that Zach has grown as a quarterback quite well in his first three years under the current staff. We'll see if he takes another step this season. Sure hope so.

Just to let you know, Fleck was about to write Terrell off and ask him to transfer his first spring here. Good thing he stuck with him.

He wrote off several QBs which makes me wonder if evaluating and developing quarterbacks is in his wheelhouse.

He has good taste in tailbacks, and I BET he would love to do more option runs, WR sweeps and quick passes. Terrell said not so fast.

I think this... I feel like fleck wants an athletic runner QB who can stretch defenses with his feet... Terrell is just too damn good at finding that vertical route than anyone else, along with his smarts and instincts. I couldn't be happier with how Terrell has asserted himself over the last few years... Not to mention he's an amazing ambassador for WMU football.

Terrell has proven to be a quality, confident, instinctive QB. The receivers have been the beneficiaries of his talent and he has been the beneficiary of their talents as well.

Look forward to the season with the combination of a strong running game and passing attack. This certainly keeps defenses on their toes.

I think that by far Terrell's best quality is staying cool in a closing pocket, right down to the last millisecond, and firing a decent pass. He has acceptable mobility, but is smart enough to run when he sees the big opening. His head is his biggest asset.

Yea I think he's better than Hare. Better vision, better at throwing deep routes to Golladay, our best WR. Might throw an occasional pick but I can accept that if he's moving the team down the field and scoring points. And he's a better runner - we can at least run our usual offense with him as a dual threat. With Hare that was iffy. He's not being helped by our WRs or play calling either.

RE: Maddie playing well
Just think if he had been a qb more. Playing WR didn't help him.

His running ability really makes him effective, he's elusive. He isn't comfortable throwing into coverage but he could have been. He throws that deep out with anyone in college.
