Whatever, it takes a special kind of strange to keep coming back to bang on UC football, while being a huge basketball supporter. Guess what clown boy? Football does and always will drive the bus, as much as that chaps your weird azz. Just ban this clown already.

(08-15-2016 08:58 AM)ArmoredUpKnight Wrote:  What are the major narratives the conference has this season? Here are some of mine.

#1 Can Houston bust the Playoff?
We have a top15 team in the preseason polls. If Houston can stay perfect, they could be the first G5 school to bust the Playoff. The selection committee has to Jeff Bower (old Southern Miss coach) is on the committee this year and he is certainly familiar with Houston. Jeff might be a guy who wants to see the Playoff include a G5 team.

#2 Can South Florida with their first conference championship?
Its a little crazy to think the Bulls have never won a conference title in football. No CUSA title, No Big East title, No American title... none in program history. This Bulls team is favored to win the East and if they can spoil a ranked Houston in December. That would be crazy!

#3 Can UCF rebound?
0-12 was shameful. Team has a new coach and can hopefully get the win-less monkey off its back. The new system should be fast and exciting and completely different from what UCF fans are used to seeing. If UCF can string together 6 wins, its a colossal success. But that seems very unlikely.

Well considering the closest school in age to USF in terms of football history is UCF and yall are twice as old. When your program is 20 years old, its not exactly shocking. What is shocking is that USF has as many wins against current P5 schools as Cinci and more than almost all G5.
I am pretty proud of where our program is and where its going. Not many schools within the first 15 years of existance can claim wins over WVU, Auburn, Miami, FSU, Notre Dame, Clemson, UNC, TCU, Pitt, Lville.... If we dont win the conference this year, It will be next. We again lose almost nothing at the end of this season and will return our QB (Flowers) and our RBs Mack and Johnson, along with almost all our WR and TEs.

Yeah, until that pesky B12 stuff gets done, it's going to hang over all of us right into the season.

Yes many like to point to the lack of championships as a failure. A lot of that had to do with the rapid rise of the program. We had good teams but we never had the depth in talent to win conferences as we kept riding in competition and when we dropped down to AAC we had just gone thru the Skip Hoktz deconstruction of the program.
We are now back on a winning track and this team is talented, with depth and still young. Let's see what happens.

What if the story line is the two Florida schools along with ECU, Houston, Temple, and Memphis are all 5-0 or 4-1,all with p5 scalps to their credit. Now that's a story line. Lol

Tulane very probably will be 4-1 with a P5 win (Wake) and a conference loss (Navy).03-lmfao

Aresco announces the AAC will expand by 4 schools that will coincide with a new 6 year 750 million dollar media contract.

64 schools send in their application....

The AAC board members are thoroughly entertained at the carnage.

Houston beats Oklahoma,
USF stomps Florida State
The AAC championship viewership, between the two, best the ACC and Big 12's.Rimshot
