A few observations, surprised to see ND so low usually the name gets them higher, Houston gets no respect as FSU is top five lol and they way below, uga is lower than I expected but fine with that and until Tenn proves it they dont deserve to be that high. Other than that pretty standard.

App is set up perfect to crack the top 25 with a week one "upset". Nothing to do but to do it.

Good for App getting some votes...and not to be a negative Nancy... but you won't get into the top 25 just by beating UT week 1 like someone suggested earlier...lots of folks ahead of App that will win game 1...but if you all can beat UT, crush ODU and follow that up with beating Miami...then I think you have a good chance of getting in the top 25...if not then, well, just keep winning

Beat Tennessee in Week 1 and be ranked Week 2. Assuming App is 2-0 headed into Miami, the Mountaineers may be ranked and Miami may not be.

The Vols did get a preseason #1 vote.

THis is Notre Dame's highest preseason ranking in nearly a decade.

Houston at #13 is the highest G5 preseason I can remember since Boise was in the Top 10. If they beat OU week one, watch their ranking then.

I disagree, those "lots of folks ... that will win week 1" games won't receive nearly the attention of this game, especially if App pulls off the upset. An App St win (in any fashion) should easily propel them into the top-25...

Beating Tennessee and missing out on the top 25 the following week would be a nice problem to have.
