Too late. They have only individual sessions for the final week of summer school and most go home in a week to return when school opens end of August.

Dixon and Malinowski continue play on weekends in the DC Kenner League until that ends next month.

If I recall correctly, there was a successful push to raise money for summer school tuition for men's basketball so that the guys could spend the summer in Williamsburg strengthening their academics and working out. Does anyone know if this was this implemented?

Yes, all players were scheduled to attend the second summer school session. They were able to get in weight training, scrimmages, and practices. There are major limits to the amount of time coaches can spend with them each week, but I think it's pretty organized outside of that time to allow for good teamwork and conditioning.

I think the NCAA began allowing coach involvement in 2012(?). We have had players in during summer for years, but I'm not sure how many students were able to take classes to help reduce their in-season workload. Our summer school fundraising was developed to provide additional funds to pay for classes in the summer. There was already some monies set aside for this (that people had contributed to with the stated purpose that it go to summer school). I wanted to increase this fund so that all players would have summer school classes paid for.

Thanks to the amazing response from many on this board, we have raised over $78,000 in gifts and pledges. It all started here and then some others kicked in as the fiscal year ended. We had some previous basketball players come in with nice donations and five-year pledges as well. I haven't followed up with anyone in the basketball program to see how many class hours the guys got.

Fantastic! Basketball, with mid-week travel takes a toll on classes. Summer school helps that a lot. I didn't realize the NCAA had changed the rule on coach involvement. Were all of our recruits able to participate?

The thing I like about the picture, they both look like they can bulk-up
quite a bit and not effect their capability, Nice looking recruits!!

That's actually starting to grow back in. He had cut his hair during his senior season.

I think Nathan looks much leaner than he did in high school. I don't think there is any way he is still 255lbs. That's not a bad thing, he's just loosing his baby fat.

Was Matt Milion here as well? Will he need to sit out this year?
