Nippert's capacity is just a little under 40K, so there's not much more Cincinnati could have pulled.

It 100% depends on the outcome of our game in Oxford. If we win, there's 10-15 thousand that will stay on board. If we lose, they fall off
disagree in that IMHO the first two games are key...SEMO and Kansas at home...we need to start strong at 2-0...the first game normally has good attendance, and Kansas is a P5 home game.
get over 40k for those two, and we're in good shape.
no one should expect Memphis to win in Oxford...it would be nice, but I'm more concerned with starting 2-0, and building momentum for the BGSU home game.
Barring weather or something, there's no way we don't average over 40K for the first two games. And even then of course, there's the amount of tickets sold versus who don't show up in case of weather.
First game is 40K or more even in the leanest of times. And after the run this program has had lately, there's no way there's a drop-off for the Kansas game.

Temple also hosted Penn State last year too.
Memphis was obviously fortunate to host Top 10 Ole Miss and Top 20 Navy (1st ever game for Navy vs Memphis...which was just another added draw).
Yes...home schedules vary and sometimes they vary even with their own team (i.e. Memphis drew less than 31,000 in announced attendance for 2 home games last year...which wasn't even half the crowd that was noted for the Ole Miss game).
Laughable. It's obvious that you didn't see the game and witness the crowd and the domination of blue clad fans in attendance. Dude, before you post, at least know what the hell you're talking about.
Dude's been posting on here for months not knowing what he's talking about. Doubt he's gonna learn by now.

True. But at least most of them are Tigers fans posting on a Tigers board.

Sounds like Brian McTaggort who writes for the Astros and went to Houston. Told me on Twitter..."No one cares about Memphis football"

I'll concede that the Ole Miss game gave us a bump in attendance.
However, we were 8-0 coming into the Navy game, and the weather was perfect. I'm sure that there were some fans there just to see Navy. However, I'll offer that we'd have drawn 45K-50K for that Nov 7 game regardless of which AAC team we'd have played.

Plenty more than 12000 Ole Miss Students come to Memphis on the weekend. But it's to do laundry at their parents.
