Cuckold Bernie was handed this issue on a silver platter during the first debate, but said he was tired of hearing about her damned emails. Now, he wants the superdelegates to give a damned about her emails.

In most Presidential races, some candidates will choose to abandon their dignity. I think in Bernie's case, he started out with it but when it became apparent he could be a factor, he abdicated the high ground. Which is pretty hard to do when your opponent is Hillary.

I can't shake the feeling that Bernie is running to pay off his student loans.

To be fair, he said he was sick and tired of hearing about the emails and - here's the important part - that we should let the investigators do their jobs in the State Dept, FBI, etc. and then make judgment. State Dept conclusions are damning (as expected) so now it is reasonable to everyone with any smarts (maybe some Hillary super-ultra-fans are still not included) that she really did lie, break rules, etc. about this.

Yes, but, what he's doing now is wanting the superdelegates to pay attention to it. If he comes out firing at her himself, then I'll admit he has a little backbone. But so far he;s not doing it. He wants the superdelegates to consider it, and switch to him, but not the voters.

He has come across as a fairly straight shooter, even though I disagree with about 99% of what he says. However, if he does not personally attack Hillary on this after the scathing report, then he's not a straight shooter anymore. Asking the superdelegates to consider the report is a lot different than taking the message to the people and asking them to consider the report.

I said at the time "He's going to regret not making a stronger statement there"... He did not have to to go scorched earth on the issue but he could have said he does not know enough yet and wants to talk about other issues tonight.

"Let me say something that may not be great politics. I think the secretary is right. And that is that the American people are sick and tired of hearing about your damn e-mails."

And headlines the next day read of sanders defending Clinton. He did not say simply "I don't have all the facts so lets talk about something else tonight"... He said "I am sick and tired of hearing about her "damn e-mails""

His ability to use the emails in the primaries died that night.

I think he's trying to latch onto the European social democrat label. But there's a huge difference. European social democrats aren't nearly as much into redistribution as Bernie is. Sweden's top corporate tax rate is slightly more than half ours. And they have privatized social security and no-fault medical malpractice.

Europe has a more comprehensive safety net than we do, at the same time it can offer a better tax deal to businesses and investors, because they don't look to "the 1%" to pay for everybody else. They're not relying nearly as much on "somebody else's money" as we are, or as Bernie would have us.

California is a big state, and he could demolish her if he hit her non-stop on it, and then he could have his convention battle and go for the superdelegates there. If he truly wanted the nomination, he should have pressed the issue. He could have still taken the high road by suggesting she shouldn't have been running due to the serious nature of the allegations. He could have pressed her on Benghazi. He should have been running a Trump-like, establishment-be-damned campaign. And now that Bernie has failed to do so, the Democrats are the ones with a convention fight on their hands, not the Republicans.

What's the fight? Hillary is 73 delegates away from clinching, and will have it clinched by the convention. If Bernie shows up to Philly for a fight, all he is doing is showing his true colors/hypocrisy.
