If you want to get a good gauge on what Tubby will do here, his staff hires will be the first coat of paint - assistants, S&C, etc.

Currently at TT:

Coaches and Staff

Joe Esposito - Assistant Coach
Vince Taylor - Assistant Coach
Pooh Williamson - Assistant Coach

I would imagine he keeps at least 2 of them, Esposito for sure.

I'd expect Vince Taylor to join him. His on Saul in some capacity too.

I think he may have been why the rule was put in place.

Saul has worked with Dad for years. He was an AC at Minnesota. At TT he's video coordinator. I expect he will be VC here. Maybe DOBO. I'm betting he will not be AC though.

Tubby may go local for the 3rd slot. Or he could take this opportunity to go after a big time national recruiter. Both have their advantages.

2 years which will be in June.

He needs to go after Ryan Miller. He is a great recruiter, ranked one of the top nationally, and needs a job after the coaching change at UNLV. He was an assistant here in the past so he knows the city. Go Tigers

In men’s basketball, during a two-year period before a prospective student-athlete’s anticipated enrollment and a two-year period after the prospective student-athlete’s actual enrollment, an institution shall not employ (or enter into a contract for future employment with) an individual associated with the prospective student-athlete in any athletics department noncoaching staff position or in a strength and conditioning staff position.
