Dayton, Middle Tenn, and Gonzaga. Not exactly what I'd call a legit Elite 8th. They play their first real team today. Just because they won a few games in the tourney against so so teams doesn't change the fact they don't belong in this tournament.

I'm certainly not disagreeing that they haven't had a fortunate path thus far, but all those teams are better than Akron, and let's add Seton Hall, Utah, and Michigan State to your list as those teams you listed knocked these teams out.

Though, honestly, you do get attacked frequently because of your support of the facts you present, like it or not, Syracuse was selected, however, not due to potential TV ratings. I, for the record, was surprised they were in, but also wasn't in the room with the selection committee for the week.

Those posts are not a result of caring about Syracuse or Kansas, they're a response to MD's insistence that the Orange-colored committee couldn't see their way clear to include Akron, despite the Zips playing in the second-best mid-major conference which theoretically had only one or two bad teams.

I just don't think anyone cares. Illinois state is not even in post season.

They did not get an NIT bid and turned down invites to the pay to plays, no benefit for the MVC schools to be in there and play no names.
