If what you wrote above is true, why are you commenting at all? Seems to me you care an awful lot to be sharing your thoughts with "us".

But as Rutgers has slid off over the last several years, I've paid less and less attention to the sport.

So has everyone else. Have you taken a look at the crowds? Even the ones in basketball crazy places like Lexington were on the sparse side.

We need more representation from non-p5 members. And breaking up the UConn monopoly would help too

To be fair, my thread about grocery stores went about 8-10 pages deep last year.

Shoprite at home. Food Lion in OC, Md. Publix when I go down south. CostCo any time any place!

Oh wait, WBB. Right. Rutgers steady fall off the last several years has caused me to loose interest in the sport. Back when C Viv was putting together top 5 teams and challenging UConn for conference titles, we'd go to home games to Pack-the-Rac. Now attendance is so low RU could probably move the WBB games back to the College Ave Gym.

ODU and La Tech were power players before the p5's took over. Womens hoops is more about the power leagues than any other sport. Outside of uconn you wont find a non p5 getting to that stage.

The question is how long will uconn stay at this level when Geno leaves. Especially if they dont get in the b12.

But as far as them going to the b12 goes. As much girls hoops as we watch in our house ..... Uconn and baylor 3 times before the turney?? YES PLEASE

Friday Results:

4 Syracuse defeats 1 South Carolina
7 Washington defeats 3 Kentucky
4 Stanford defeats 1 Notre Dame
7 Tennessee defeats 3 Ohio State

While this has been a year unlike recent ones with upsets. Stanford and UT getting where they are isnt really an upset. They are both power players on the national scene. Ky cant seem to get over a hump yearly. Scuse was the biggest shock of that group.

RE: Lack of parity in WBB????
all last night did was make it easier for UConn. Makes it where they have 2 games after today that they could be challenged.

32-4 after 1 quarter...

I think last night got uconns attention. Im no state fan at all but they are much better than that score. Uconn and most important Stewie is on it today.

I think you are right.

I do like the quarters though. It's going to be really interesting when that comes into the mens game in 2 years.

What? Either I forgot that or that is new (4 Qtrs for Men)
Thanks for bringing that up...it will add a new wrinkle to the Men's game.

You're not alone. Bottom line is that it's just not high-level basketball. The very best women's college team would get crushed by hundreds and hundreds of boys high-school teams. Heck, the women's ball is the same size as that recommended for boys ages 12-14.

It's just low-level hoops, not worth bothering with. 07-coffee3

I heard someone bring up a point about women's basketball and UConn.... how if Kentucky's guys stayed for all 4 years long, they would be as dominant as UConn's women are.

also quo- you are wrong. women's ball is the same size as boys I think 10 and under use....

If what you wrote above is true, why are you commenting at all? Seems to me you care an awful lot to be sharing your thoughts with "us".

Your logic is stupid. It's a message board. It was a thread I found amusing. I made a comment. My opinions on message board topics aren't always indicative of my opinions on the subject of the topic itself. And besides, wtf is it to you anyways? You always seem to have this hard on for anything I say that you feel you need to come along behind me and always be a wise ass...even when I didn't even say anything about UConn! Seriously, grow up dude.

Your outrage is amusing. This is the first time in quite awhile where I've responded to one of your posts, but let's not muddy the water with facts.

They are so much better than they were in the 80s. I could have coached a women's team and won a title in the early 80s. Nobody played defense.

I don't know why they do that. HS and college girls can handle the same size ball as MS boys. It is kind of a problem for girls who play with boys. They have to switch back and forth.
