If Dixon takes TCU, as @PaulZeise reporting suggests is increasingly likely, guessing many will say it's a bad job. They're wrong.

Interesting positives. I guess it could be a decent job for the right coach. Is Dallas a hotbed for hoops talent?
When TV covered the SEC championship game, the announced starting line up for Texas A&M were all from Texas while none of the UKY starters were from KY - in fact two were from other countries. Texas HS BB is apparently almost as good as Texas HS FB.
That is probably the most absurd conclusion I have ever seen somebody jump to.
I don't make conclusions except in summary. I cite the facts and let them do the talking. Some may not like the facts I state, but they are what they are.
So, because Texas a&m, a second or third rate Sec. Basketball team, has players from Texas, it has the same talent pool as Texas football? The 2017 ESPN 60 has 3 Texas players in it. There are 5 from Georgia on that list.
And Kentucky basketball is its own beast. If Brazil had the five best freshmen this year, Kentucky would be in on them all.
Bottom line is one team from Texas having a starting lineup from Texas does not make any conclusion you draw from it a fact.

RE: HNBR: 2016 Coaching Carousel
Anyone hear Haase is interviewing at Stanford? He is mentioned on their blogs/chatboards but not in major published articles. I heard from a usually reliable source today that he might have been contacted...

My guess is Haase will interview at a couple of places, but won't be leaving the southside this year.

Texas A&M played UKY for the SEC championship, played and won in the first rounds of the NCAA tournament (now in the "Sweet 16"), and ALL 5 of its starters are from Texas. I'm going by the number a coach actually has playing, not how some guesspert rates potential talent. Those facts - not opinions - stand on their own merit.

The fact that Texas a&m started 5 players from Texas does not mean Texas is filled with basketball talent on its own. It is not an elite basketball program, despite the success it is having this year. It is unreasonable to come to the conclusion that Texas basketball produces talent like football off of that one, random fact.
2+2=4, so adding two to any number must give an even number, right?

The article says there are 9 D1 schools in Alabama. What are the other 4 besides UAB, Troy, UA, AU and USA?
For real?
Alabama State, Alabama A&M, Jax State, and Samford.

I know what the other schools are, I was asking for real to the question.

From Jeff Goodman:
Plenty of speculation that Kevin Stallings may be headed to St. Louis. One sources said no truth to it.
Regarding speculation about Vandy coach Kevin Stallings future, what I do know is that he and his staff have not been informed of anything.
Trey Wallace:
Breaking: According to @VandySportscom Kevin Stallings will not return next season as Head Basketball Coach at Vanderbilt

Jon Rothstein
Kevin Stallings told @CBSSports there is "no truth whatsoever" to the report that he has been fired by Vanderbilt.

Why would you bump this? I made a reasonable prediction, and I was wrong.
