What? You mean Tulsa right?

Tulsa was actually #12. Navy was among the first group invited, but the last to arrive.

Tulane and ECU were invited at the same time, so how do you determine which school was invited first?

Tulane got the full invite (#10)
ECU got a football-only invite (#11)

Uhhh, I'm sure even if you did call Tulane's assistant AD, that he would not let you know anything that's going on..I'm sure any information he leaked could be damaging to his job, wouldn't you think ? So I do not buy that at all that he would let a pompous like you..of all people..know any info, good or bad, about anything involved in Tulane athletics or the AAC.

Oh, btw..I called Aresco about 20 mins ago...and he confirmed it!!

So there ya go....I can lie just like you
Hahahaha

RE: I Believe Southern Miss May Be The 11th Team
I'm a USM fan all the way but until "it" happens I'm not believing the rumors. I'm happy at the fact we've been mentioned but considering we've been left behind multiple times I see no reason to get my hopes up now.

FWIW though, USM does have "some connections" within some AAC school administrators. Our AD came from USF so you'd "like to think" he would have friends there. UCF COO David Hansen as well as newly hired Executive Associate AD/Chief Marketing Officer Scott Carr both were Assistant/Associate ADs at USM. Also, same goes for Nick Floyd who is Executive Associate AD at ECU was the #2 guy at USM while Asst AD/Marketing and Sales Greg Herring held the same role at USM at one time. Lastly is Memphis where Asst AD/Ticket Operations/Sales Derek Houtz had the same position here before going to Memphis. Now whether this is good or bad who knows as these individuals aren't the ones making the overall decision for the AAC.

not sure when Scott left Auburn but was recent. I was actually looking at the UCF website to see Hansen's title and realized he was now at UCF. I did forget his dad was AD at Houston and hid dad's company Carr Sports does a lot of coaching and AD searches so that "could" be another avenue. But once again, we've been left behind so much I won't get my hopes up unless it actually happened.

Why is this conversation happening on an AAC board? This needs to go to the C-USA board along with all the USM fans.

You can stop the act now, these USM fans might not get that you are trolling them but everybody else can see it is an act. The USM AD used to work at South Florida so I am sure he was just there catching up with old friends and cheering on his former university if he was even there at all. I have yet to see any proof of this. There is nothing to this story, nothing at all.

Because it's our tournament and somebody is was called out as waiting in the wings by aresco

I can tell this speculation of Southern Miss getting an invite is just getting to ya, huh 16 ?
What ya gonna do if it's true ??
Oh my gosh, what are you gonna do ??
