RE: Open Thread - Men's Hoops
Louisville (barely) restores cosmic order to the universe and ends the Gregory NCAAT birth pipe dream. With the NIT now being a best case scenario, Gregory's fate is sealed.

Nice win Hokies. Makes our loss to you a little better to accept. Now Duke please take care of business against UNC.

RE: Open Thread - Men's Hoops
ND beat NC State 89-75 and will be the #4 seed in the ACC tournament if NC holds on to beat Duke tonight.

It's the last stand at the Gregory Corral.

Beat Clemson and survive for now ... or be fired.

GTS' worst basketball nightmare: Jackets lose to Clemson but accept an invitation to the NIT - which they win. Gregory is extended 2 more years...

Wow, this looks like inspired do-or-die basketball to me. I can tell by the way they trail a NIT team low seed by 20 points.

Hopefully I don't have to wait until Monday for confirmation that this sad chapter is over.

AND THE NEW GUY BETTER NOT BE FROM *** **** OHIO. 03-pissed

How in the hell is this happening? From down like 17-19 points to going to the line to tie with < 15 seconds.

It is what it is. Oh well, baseball is underway and spring practice has started so we don't need to fill time anyway.

In overtime now. It's been a competitive tournament so far.

Yep. My son is just starting to get into college basketball. I told him ND was fully capable of coming back. Now it looks like the Irish will win in OT.

I hope you explained to the young impressionable pup that it's just to pass the time until spring training.
