All I know, if McSwain signs, our layup line next season will match up well with any in the country.

Caver will be fine but not with Baker and D. Taylor also in the lineup... I actually think he is going to be pretty good as a PG - but not someone counted on to provide 1/3 of the offense.

I would love to see if J. Baker could handle it as well. Not for an entire game but if he could, then we also wouldn't lose the key defensive role he currently plays for us.

Dude's quick, got a (pretty) good handle and likes to dunk. He also won the MVP for the tournament. I think if he signs on, he'll be akin to Ross.
Something I think we might miss from this team is a guy that can slash into the lane for the layup through traffic. Cause this is one of the ways that teams have been generating fouls on us, so maybe we're gonna try and do it back at them now.
But, I would be interested to see who else we're targeting.

He cannot handle the ball at all.

Exactly, I have not seen anything resembling PG play from Jordon Baker. He is fine with what he does if he can hit some threes. But PG? No way.

So we finally land a kid that looks next level under jones and we get the rug pulled on us.
Same as it ever was. Blaine could never win the big recruiting battles and seal the deal, I'm not seeing where jones is any different.
It is what it is.

This is clearly not Jones' fault. I can't believe you are actually an odu fan.

Don't bother recruiting a kid if you can't finish the deal or if he has a history of being wishy washy.
It wasted time, resources and potentially scared away other recruits.
This kid seems like a douche anyways, given his history.
Screw him.

The kid signed a LOI. That is getting it complete. Lots of kids transfer from school-to-chool-school in HS sports, but it is pretty rare that they ask for release from a LOI. This is totally on the kid and his dad. I can't help but get the impression that you are so enamored of your negativity toward Jones that you would spin anything to support it.

He's clearly a prima donna douchnozzle. I think JJ had a recruiting win when he release him from his NLI.

Razor, I never mind your negativity towards Jones because I think a lot of it is warranted. This, however, is not his fault. He closed on a massive recruit with Xavier Green. The kid is absolutely wishy washy but come on man...Was it not worth a shot? We are still in good shape next year if Jones allows these guys to play.

I suppose it was worth a shot......but you either seal the deal or you don't.
Maybe we should have hired his dad as an assistant, it worked with the Stith's ha ha
But yeah, I can't help but feel he won't be missed. Kid seems like he thinks he's too good for everyone.
I don't blame jones for him backing out but to act like there were not red flags all over the place around this kid is disingenuous. Taking him after he had already pulled out on a big 12 a school was a huge risk that backfired.
Like I said, it is what it is.

Eh, the reason Evans is no longer coming to ODU is the same reason the two best players on the team next year are at ODU....it is what it is.

So you're saying we can't recruit anyone good unless we hire their parent?
Kidding!

I think everyone will be very happy when we see Xavier's career matched up with Evans career.
