Not our first win in Miami. First win at FIU, but we beat Florida in a tournament there in 1997.
Noted.

What a game between Tech and Marshall tonight! It is very difficult to win on the road and we did it tonight against a great offensive team in Marshall.
Alex is class tonight - probably his best game in Tech jersey.

Well, Middle Tennessee with its fourth 20-win season in the last five (and the other season was 19).
No conference tourney titles though. Really hope we get the strength of the conference and RPI figured out going forward.

My DVR froze up after Kelly missed the first free throw
So one of the greatest game ending shots in Tech basketball history my DVR decides to freeze up.

Here's a better video of the shot by Jean. Got to be #1 the play of the night on Sportscenter. We shall see.

Erm, a stronger conference is the last thing you want at MTSU. The weak conference is what is giving you 20 win seasons and lesser competition would help you win a conference tournament to earn a bid.

Great game Marshall - I was really impressed with your team and we gave our A plus effort tonight but still thought we would lose in a close one in OT. I really think we should be able to play more often especially in FB. I think McCree coming back into the lineup was the spark we needed. Good luck in the tourney and against USM Saturday!

Actually our OOC was good enough that we'd be in the tourney (NIT at least) if our sucky bottom feeders weren't the worst in the division...

Not sure UTSA, FAU, FIU, North Texas will ever make the commitment to hoops needed....I don't think you can always blame the bottom feeders though, as a whole we all need to win more non conference games and make sure we have plenty of home games non conference...Easier said then done...RPI doesn't seem like its used for teams like us unless its used in a negative way against us, more used for seeding of P5 teams...Overall conference RPI is used against us...
Must be nice to in P5 in a crappy basketball conference that is the SEC....For example look at South Carolina, they beat pretty much no one non conference, had 12 home games....Their numbers are inflated so when they entered SEC play, pretty much just have to win their home games which they did....I watched South Carolina play, they are not a great team but they scheduled cupcakes in the non conf. and it paid off...Unfortunately a lot of us cannot do that but if we could have a majority of home games mixed in with neutral site games against good competition, we would all be better off....
For seeding purposes I am hoping for a 11th seed for WKU...I think we match up well with UTEP and I want another chance to end MTSU season....THis path seems better then the UAB path even though we have played well vs. UAB..

Not warranted or necessary. Stop stirring the ******* pot and then whining when you start a holy war with herd fans. Tech has already been congratulated on a great win and an amazing shot. End of story. With all the adversity UAB has faced in the last two years, you, alone, make it very difficult to wish anything but more bad **** to happen for your school. And Herd fans have been very supportive of your school through all of that.
