Does anyone have any extra tickets to the game Thursday? I tried posting in ticket exchange already. Please PM me if you have any info, thanks.

I'm baffled at the way UAB has been promoting the noon game on Thursday. Absolutely nothing.

Maybe they're wanting ticket sales to be low so that they can go to the Commissioner and say look, attendance is going to look awful on TV at this time slot, we need to have UAB in the prime time slot to fill the stands.

How do you promote it? I'll be there Friday and Saturday, I can't take two days off. If we make the big dance I would want to try and make that the next weekend. We need the conference to not act like the third rate conference it is becoming and put the home team in whatever time slot is best.

UAB at this point in time is promoting the complete tournament package, not individual sessions. They have done a pretty good job doing that.

Yeah, I think they've done a much better job promoting them this year than last year. Putting those little flyers on all the seats in Bartow was a good idea. I finally ordered mine a few minutes ago, and the premium seats were completely sold out.

in his post-game address on Sat, HCJH called out Bham employers to let their workers off on Thursday afternoon & challenged folks to take along lunch and come to the game...

Charter Cable Channel 193 (Alternate WBMA) recently showed up on our lineup with 24 hour American Sports Network programming. I noticed it last weekend. This is good timing as ASN is covering some of the C-USA tournament. I guess we can get all the games instead of just select UAB games when MY68 or CW decides to preempt programming.

Channel 193 is showing 2 live games tonight. LaTech and Marshall at 6pm. Then Southern Miss and WKY at 8pm.

After seeing this, I flipped over and started exploring the coming shows. UAB-USM football from 2014 starts at 1:30 am for any DVR owners out there.

I have been disappointed at the way UAB has handled some of this. They certainly could have done a much better job. They have also failed to reach out to all their season ticket holders to sell tickets. Maybe our new marketing lady will change some things for the better.

I called the ticket office to inquire about individual session tickets. They said tickets go on sale Monday through Ticketmaster? That's lousy if I cant buy tickets for the UAB session through the ticket office.

Oddly enough, my on-screen guide shows a lot of random crap and no sports whatsoever. But MY68 has been wrong on its on-screen guide before so I wouldn't put it past them.

Also--DAMN I WISH I HAD KNOWN THAT! I daresay the 2014 UAB games will get tons of replays on the channel in the coming months! 04-rock04-cheers

Locally the 24-hour ASN channel is 58-3. They showed 3 or 4 CUSA basketball games this past Saturday...
