I think what's ironic is that he still has a user-name that has NOTHING to do with the conference. The BE pulled away...what...three years ago now? And certain people are still fixated on them.

I guarantee that if you looked at BE boards, you will not find a single person named "TheAACsucks." But look on these boards and you will find certain folks still obsessed about the BE and the fact they never got to be part of it.

Feelings hurt bra? I started this name years ago and could care less to change it. Also we sold the name and got paid so I could care less about some northeast team that can't afford to compete in the big boy sport. I wouldn't even know where to find their boards and never even posted on them. I am sure your invite will be official tomorrow so I won't have to see any more responses from you.

I make two threads yearly:

Official Basketball and Official Baseball/softball

Each are used as a general catchall of news for those teams and as the game thread (outside of a big event) throughout the season. It helps declutter the front page and keeps a general flow of how the season conversation has went. But if you insist on MORE ECU threads I'm sure we can figure out something...

Meanwhile back in reality ECU's new pressbox facility that will be completed for the 2018 season will cost more than most big east basketball arenas. Let that sink in small fry. I guess if we wanted to quit playing the largest revenue generating sport tell 43,000 fans to go home and focus on having 8,000 fans focus on basketball we could be big time.

I actually agree with you. Honestly, I think it was done because posters kept complaining about how many ECU posts there were. The intent, I believe, was to consolidate...so there weren't multiple threads on the same subject...appeasing the complainers somewhat. What happens? People complain anyways.

It is always going to be hard when you have a fan base with a large number of posters. My suggestion, stop making the OFFICIAL threads and have mods play more of an active role. Merge threads that are the same. Who gives a crap whether someone thinks their thread was first or more valid...just freakin' mod the board by merging any duplicate threads.

Now, hopefully that doesn't get me in trouble. I don't have a problem with the mods here specifically. My comment is meant in general and would be applicablle to any message board. I also readily admit that my suggestion may be easier said than done.

To risk discussing modding in public and getting a warning, I've always felt the AAC mods have been a bit lazy/lackadaisical while CUSA mods were more active and around before everything went to hell.

Also I will note that merging topics together gets the mod bitched at. Don't forget the CUSA Tournament Thread Mergate

I try to avoid that stuff and post big picture type posts on here but ECU isn't the only school that has posters on here doing that. Houston/UCF/USF fans tend to put a lot of the new recruits/new facilities/new academic rankings etc posts on here too. Just sayin..cheers!
