We have to get in a conference with someone in charge. I fear we now have a rudderless ship. At least you could count on Banowsky to EFF it up 20% of the time, but he was doing something.

It's a one-bid conference. There are no if's, and's, or but's about it.

With regular season champs now getting NIT auto-bids, it could be tough for C-USA to get more than 2. There is a new 16 team tourney in Vegas this year. That might be slightly better than CBI or CIT.

Yep, believe it was 3. I think metrics looked a little better for top teams in C-USA last year.

If we win the regular season championship and the tourney CUSA may not have a team in the NIT. MTSU may get in but that's not guaranteed.

ODU, LT, and UTEP made the NIT last season.

And I believe Middle Tennessee turned down an invitation. Or maybe that was one of the mickey mouse tournaments.

Pretty sure they accepted the CIT last year and lost at home to Kent State. The year before when they shared the conference regular season title they declined.

Murf-town was butt hurt central that season. That Middle team was likely their best ever.

Yes we added Ga State and SFA but as I mentioned our non-conf schedule is STILL RANCID due to the 5 teams listed earlier (Troy, Seattle, Alabama State, Jax State and USC THROW-UP) that have RPI averages of 305.

Of course if keeping the STENCH around is the goal we can continue doing things like we always have (and stay a 1-bid league)

WHAT?!

RPI for Seattle in the last 3 yrs-270,279,303
RPI for USC Upstate last 3 yrs- 205, 208 and 176. They have been to post season 3 of 4 yrs
RPI for Jax St and Troy and Alabama St don't matter as they are local teams
Ga St, SFAU, Ill St and Auburn should not hurt your RPI.
So we did not land many/any road/home P5 matches.
I can imagine nobody wanted any part of losing at home to CUSA team this year and next year may be tougher. So a home and home was kind of like "pick your poison"
Or be safe and don't pick any poison.
