They can "discuss" it all they want. Your school will end up leaving us for the MWC if the big 12 snags 4 of our schools before us leftovers snag up Air Force and CSU.....just being realistic. I can hope ECU gets into the Big 12 and you can wish Houston gets in, but if we re left out of the 4 taken......bad, bad, bad. CUSA 4.0...Cheers! P.S. This article seems more like a bleacher report college newspaper article than the Sporting News.

Those schools are a part of the "6 or 7" candidates often mentioned so nothing really new here...

He then gives his 3 scenarios. With UC and UConn being 1 and UCF and USF as the second. or not expand at all.

Not sure how much he knows are does not know, but Decourcey is pretty well respected. He appeared on a podcast for Bearcat Journal this afternoon to further talk about the article. He said from what he is being told by sources close to the situation, those are the scenarios. Take it FWIW. I do not get to hyped up in these articles either way.

No. The source talked about BYU, UC, UConn, Cincinnati, USF, and UCF.

Here is what a source close to the situation has told Sporting News about possible expansion:

BYU might stand as the most attractive potential partner because of its large following, excellent facilities and considerable wealth, but the challenges of adding a partner that declines to participate in Sunday competition is among the obstacles that appear to be too considerable.

That leaves three possible scenarios for the expansion issue.

1) The Big 12 could choose to move East to add Cincinnati and Connecticut. Cincinnati has developed the most consistent football program of potential expansion candidates and is located in a major media market. UConn is four-time NCAA champion in men’s basketball and also adds the cachet of the dynastic women’s basketball program.

2) For football recruiting purposes and long-term potential, the Big 12 could advance into Florida by adding Central Florida and South Florida.

If byu is really in play I don't think Bronco would have left as he is LDS and openly said they should be added.

The sources was in the information regarding why byu isn't a major prospect.. He then adds his opinion on who "he" thinks are left

Nothing says exciting like UConn Football Vs (Insert Big12 football team).

Those are a lot of mouths to feed. I can see the Big 12 getting behind adding 2, but not 4, especially when all 4 are net takers.

I imagine if that was somehow squeezed through, UT and OU would be sprinting out the back door before the new 4 even arrived. Both would be welcomed anywhere with open arms, so why would they stay and play in a glorified G6 league?

I think that is self imposed by not playing ball and having a network to spread the good word. If there was any hint they would have moved he would have stayed. His comments may have been directed at his leadership and not the b12s. Either way it was recently I couldn't imagine him leaving. Just my take though.

I wish the B12 would just fold already.
