This is pretty interesting.
As mediocre as our women's team has been this season, they have quietely moved up into third place in the conference, trailing second place Louisiana by only 2 games. ASU is dominating right now, 10-0 in the conference. I don't know if we could possibly catch them, but it is conceivable we could get to second place by the time of the tournament. That would be quite an accomplishment.04-cheers

Don't think anyone is going to stop ASU this year. They might lose a game or two at the most, but that'll be about it. They beating the hell out of everybody. Nobody is going to catch them. If we didn't have those inside girls, we'd be in deep do-do. And what could they be scoring if they could make layups and put-backs right under the basket?

Well, I think we could very well end up in the tourney final against them. That's where upsets happen.

It would be a hell of an upset. They've got guards that can shoot, and the best player in the league. I'm not saying it can't be done. But it'll be a chore for the best coach in the state of Arkansas.

The tourney final is our kryptonite. Thing is, with ULL already at 2 losses, we're quickly hitting the point with our women where you wonder how it's even concievable that we don't win the league. It's entirely possible if we can get through the game at Lafayette a week from Thursday, that we'll have a 4 game lead in the standings

This is the best I've ever seen us. The league player of the year race is actually a battle between two players on our team, how often do you see that happen anywhere?

Still, with the entire starting lineup part of a large senior class, it's NCAA or bust now. We're not going to get a better chance than this, though I still think we're set up to have a good team for a few years now simply because of the impact the last few years have had on recruiting.
