Is tonight's GOP debate for who will be Trumps VP nominee?
As someone who will most likely vote for the democratic presidential nominee in November; I am curious what the GOP is thinking. If I remember there was a poll a while ago that many members of this board liked Cruz.

With Trump brilliantly backing out tonight (assuming he does not show) What is the purpose of tonight's debate?

Depends on what Cruz does. If all he does is talk about Trump all night, he's done.

As for who should be his VP, it's Cruz or Rubio. I'd like to see Cruz, but it would probably make more sense to go with Rubio as he would help sew up Florida.

Finished. Trump probably lost all respect for these losers and will pick a CEO to run the country.

LOL, Trump has said he isn't impressed with Rubio and called him a lightweight.

It would be a good pick, though. Rubio has high approval ratings in Florida.

The worst leaders smoke and drink. Roosevelt, Churchill and Obama. The best leaders don't. Hitler, Mussolini and Trump.

You pick a VP to help you win states. Trump doesn't need help.

What are the chances that the GOP uses this aa an excuse to "disqualify" Trump.

I think Cruz nailed it when he said the election is about who would make the best commander in chief. We all know that is Hillary. I just moved to Florida (Ft Lauderdale which is liberal). Curious to see what support Bush/Rubio has in Fl Primary.

The mere suggestion that Hillary Clinton would make the best CIC should make us all go to the polls and leave the ballot for POTUS blank. We have literally scraped the bottom of the barrel of schit. This should say volumes about America and where it is heading.

What an embarrassment. These guys in the debate are putzes.

Trump brings in a woman, any woman, to be VP and he is the next President of the United States of America.

Commander in Chief of a landfill. Yes she would be pretty good at piling up garbage.

I hope you are joking. You may like Hillary for a variety of reasons, but that is about the worst possible.

A Hispanic woman would definitely seal the deal. Maybe someone like Susana Martinez but I doubt she would go for it.

It's what the libs are going with. Did you hear on CNN when they called Clinton "perhaps the most prepared commander and chief ever" (or something to that degree)..

Yup CNN was selling that Clinton was more ready for the oval office than Washington (who in addition to leading our armies played a huge role in the constitutional convention), Eisenhower (who commanded the military in WW2), Jefferson (Was VP, SoS, Minister to France, Governor of Virginia, and wrote the Declaration of Independence).

Thats off the top of my head.
