Potential business model.
Im guessing Haith made a deal to leave Mizzou and take a lesser job without Mizzou paying him and that Mizzou would keep it quiet.
If only .....

Many people are of the opinion that Memphis is only able to win if they cheat. Many of the favorite memories listed on the Tiger basketball memories thread,, never happened.
Maybe that is the only way we can win?

I guess JP is the only coach in the entire NCAA who doesn't cheat so we'd better just keep him?

Didn't say that. I implied that Bartow was the only coach to win at a high level and didn't vacate the wins due to cheating.

We are still waiting on UNC. The NCAA has indicated that the Infractions Committee will dole out the punishment this Spring. We shall see.

Instead, a couple of bad OOC losses and easily handled by SMU and Cinci in the AAC.

It is the perfect crime.
It would be like working in a bank, breaking the law to get a loan. Getting caught, I get walk away with my loan money, get another job at a new bank. And beautiful part of this is that I get to hang my crime on my previous employer, the bank. Who maybe completely innocent of my crime.
Beautiful setup.

He's a cheat and not even a good one. I read the NCAA interview of him about his time at Miami. They were really close to busting him with knowledge that a player was paid $10,000 in cash. His testimony basically established that he knew of the $10,000, they just couldn't get him to admit that he knew where it was going.

The thing about it, though, is that Cal never gets caught. He's a master at keeping himself far removed from "the crime." Will he ever slip up, though, is the question.

Few of them ever get "caught".
If the NCAA really wanted to fix this they would make the coach just as responsible as the school if not more.
