Gov. Brown may need to stop bitching about climate change on Sunday shows and look in his backyard.

Methane can cause brain damage in children.

Truly terrible. A generation of kids lost.

Ah, don't worry about that. Once the fire in the landfill finally hits it, it'll all be incinerated, right? Nice job, EPA.

methane and brain damage....who'd a thunk it?

how people don't realize as the numbers grow, more resources are required to sustain....and when that doesn't work out en masse, people die and evolution is affected....

if I had my druthers???......well, you really don't want to know....

I have zero clue why any of this surprises or bothers the intelligent sect

at this moment in human evolution, we are designed to die around the 50 yr mark....

today's technology allows too many to survive for too long....

study the effect of population growth within any species over time.....

people think that god and heyzeus are something that matter......it once pained me how people overlook the easy stuff.....

nothing but puppies/monkeys that talk is all we are

now I just don't care and point out the obvious.....

this is simple cause/effect due to population growth and sustaining.....

At the very least, he'll have 100 posts against this governor.

Exactly what point are you trying to make here? That the governor knew for months that this was a serious situation and finally decided to declare a state of emergency. Seems like the governor is patting himself on the back for doing now what he should have done 3 months ago.

I think we all agree on that.

The question then becomes, if he was aware of the serious nature, why did he wait this long? The Environmental Defense Fund posted on November 21

Quote:The first priority is for SoCal Gas and the state to use all of the tools at their disposal to stop this leak, and prevent others from happening in the future.

All the tools at their disposal would include a designation of an emergency. Too little, too late?
