They can sign a contract with C-USA paying at least what we already get. That would improve my opinion of them. 03-wink

They could stop taking a dookie on the little people. I mean there are other baseball teams in MLB besides the Red Sox and Yankees, Dodgers and Giants. There are other football conferences besides the SEC, Big Ten and ACC. Nobody wants to hear a politically slanted story from a sports network, every damn day!! I think they are broken beyond repair and its best that they just set the building on fire and move on!

And stick to real journalism like OTL, the Reporters, and 30 for 30. Also, I like Pardon the Interruption and Around the Horn.

They can stop with the cheesy into line... "Here's what you need to know"... or
"Here's what you need to see"... and they says it so smugly...

they peel away ethics like it's an onion....been doing it for the last 15 yrs or so.....it's ironic those directly involved are the ones doing a bit of crying....

it wouldn't bother me one bit if the mothershite crashed and burned in every way possible.....

I have a pure hatred for corpshite 'murica and their trained monkeys across the board....capitalism is great until it becomes monopolistic...

fk espenis and everything they represent....it's disgusting I had to watch almost every bowl game on that network......it reminded me why I have it turned off when in scan mode.....

And there are more and better players than Johnny Football, Kobe, that they em to get obsessed with. Why I should care about Manziel not showing up for a meaningless game when there are several games that have playoff implication that can be covered.

The whole Manziel thing pisses me off. What is he even supposed to be good at? What has he ever done that in any way resembles a pro quarterback? And the whole Cleveland thing has been terrible for Austin Davis. Amazingly, being used as a stick to punish Johnny Football isn't a good career move. No one involved with that franchise has any business running a football team. Stupidest **** I've seen in a while, probably since the whole Faton Bauta thing at UGA.

at some point, nascar decision making becomes the norm.....corporate heads are mostly comprised of those defined by the Peter Lynch principle.....

espenis is hardly immune.....

what's shocking is people still tune in for things outside of the sport.....

RE: How ESPN can improve its image after 2015...
That piece was very interesting and really hit on a lot of the reasons I dislike ESPN, but a lot of it simply has to do with them playing up the entertainment instead of focusing on the actual sports and, more importantly, them fueling that P5/G5 narrative. I never wanted TMZ Sports Edition from ESPN. Major sports naturally create their own story lines that don't even have to be played up or dramatized, and they have shown they are capable of making great work without having to resort to the mind-numbing filler like First Take. Also, I hate how they make it seem like smaller programs are irrelevant.

As far as image concerns go, it's as easy as Disney feeling like they have more trimming to do.

as the media goes the masses flow.....why am I not surprised that espenis adopted tmz as a whatever.....I wouldn't know....haven't watched the channel other than the exception of a sporting event for over 15 yrs.....

obviously some haven't figured out that masochism is destructive and weak while the sadist knaws on the brain.....

oh wellzy, I was young once....

Excesses often, in and of themselves, become their own undoing.

I will watch a ball game on ESPiN when there is a good one and loved some of the earlier 30 for 30 stuff, but I will not watch any of their other content. Their Website is as liberal as MSNBC's so I don't go there either. I prefer a "Just the facts mam." approach to sports. Don't need anybodies political slant on anything!

ESPN should put the major bowls back on ABC and move the semifinals to the first or second. The blowout games didnt help either

I don't think this would improve ESPN's image.

I don't think ESPiN's image is salvageable. But I do agree that letting the Rose Bowl dictate terms for the New Years Six scheduling is total BS. ESPN like all the other sports networks need to get back to doing what they were intended to do, broadcast and talk sports. That will never happen.

If it isn't Alabama, Johnny Manziel, or LeBron James, they don't really seem to be interested.

Wrong thread, I was looking at the bowl viewership down.

people are just stupid en masse.....is no different than enjoying a town square hanging or witch burning.....such is and will always until the bioengineers start playing around with that genome

what people now deem as important is disturbing to me.....very disturbing as I work out the equations.....
