OT: College Basketball Arena Bucket List
So, I'm starting to put together my bucket list of college basketball arenas. I'm taking recommendations. Of the usual arenas mentioned, I've already been to games at Cameron and MSG. What else would you put on this list?

Hinkle Fieldhouse (Butler)
Gallagher-Iba (Ok. State)
The Pit (UNM)
Allen Fieldhouse (Kansas)
Rupp (Kentucky)
The Palestra (Penn)
Assembly Hall (Indiana)
Memorial Gym (Vandy)
Smith Spectrum (Utah State)

How are Cameron, McDonough, the John Wooden Center or Dean Dome not listed? 4 musts in my opinion.

Pauley Pavillion (UCLA....John Wooden) I didn't see a game but was on the campus and went inside back in the 70's!

I've already been to Cameron (and should have also been to McDonough, but gave away my ticket when we played there).

Pauley Pavilion and Dean Dome are others I'm considering. From what I understand, Pauley is a terrible viewing experience as the seats are far from the court (Wooden didn't believe in home court advantage), but the history is obviously out of this world.

Someone convince me, why Dean Dome?

Been to Pauley. You are right about the view. Take away the Wooden era and you have a below average arena.

Been to the Palestra several times. Historical building, but not a great viewing experience.

I've been to the Dean Dome, it is a miserable place to watch a basketball game and I'm not a UNC hater.

Reynolds Colosseum if NC State still plays any games there. They used to play a couple during the break.

I like the inclusion of Utah State. I haven't been there in person, but I imagine the overall experience hinges on the liveliness of the student section. Hopefully they've stayed up to snuff over the years.

RE: OT: College Basketball Arena Bucket List
I have a lot of venues for my bucket list. It's probably easier to list the places I have been to.

Here is where I have been for games:
UNC (new)
Duke
Maryland (old)
Georgetown
George Washington
George Mason
American
vcu
UVA (old and new)
Rutgers
Princeton
Yale
Kentucky
W&M

Arenas I have been in but not for games:
Vanderbilt
St. Louis
Virginia Tech
UNC (old)
Boston College

I second this. Reynolds was pretty cool. Not sure what the renovation will do to it. Cassell Coliseum is pretty fun at Tech when they get rolling.

I'm just fortunate to have visited the Siegel Bingo and Banquet Center.

I don't think that is correct. There are a number of older D1 venues. Butler, Duke, and Northeastern among the older ones I can think of.

Yes, he said odd. As for the oldest, I think Northeastern's Matthews Arena is the oldest. I went to a game there when we were in the CAA with them, and it was a neat experience.

Odd indeed. There are five floors. I only saw two, the other being the baseball infield.
Payne-Whitney at Yale is even bigger though. It has 9 levels and more than double the space of Jadwin.
