That was a good game. They are way ahead of us in personnel and coaching at this level.

I turned off the TV in the 3rd and I figured App was about to suffer their first bowl loss. Damn was I wrong.

What's scary is Ga. State is hanging in their game.

These lessor bowl games should somehow be played at one of the schools home stadiums. So far the App and Ga State games nobody is in the stadiums.

I thought App had a good size crowd there in Montgomery. I've been to that stadium it's not much bigger than SBBS at FF. Now the Ga. State game could have been played on then home field and there would have been fewer people there.

With the world's largest naval base down the street, I see the Military bowl possibly moving here once we get something to play in. How many of you would attend the Military Bowl even if ODU was not playing? I think I would attend. If not the military bowl what bowl game do you see possibly coming here?

The Dollar Tree Bowl, Norfolk Southern Bowl, Smithfield Ham Bowl, VA Peanuts Bowl...................................

Have the Oyster bowl be an actual bowl.

And we go to Boone in 2016, needless to say, will be quite a challenge.

Agreed! I've been saying this ever since we moved from FCS to FBS.

I'll sign off on this with the caveat that it depends on the sponsor. I don't think anyone wants to promote anything under the banner of "Dollar Tree Oyster"

My neighbor buys ribeye steaks from the Dollar Tree 03-lmfao I am like dude you own a 400k house and my dog wouldn't eat the steaks. I see now Dollar Tree having shrimp and oysters now. I hear they have wine at select locations.

My hope is that we can surprise them while they're still riding that bowl victory high. Gonna take a lot though. Even if they're not as good as 2015 and we're improved, we still have that 49 point margin to measure against. Will they be a few touchdowns worse? Will we be a few touchdowns better? Easy is no longer in the vocabulary.

We were a few touchdowns better at the end of the season. The base is more like 49-21 than 49-0.

Hillary's emails were responsible for a couple touchdowns and Donald Trump's hair kept us out of the endzone a couple times. 35-21 ODU.

Speaking of bowl games, Colorado State played Nevada in the Arizona Bowl. Both teams are in the MWC. What fun is that to go to a bowl game with a team from your own conferance?

Is that a common occurance?

From what I understand, the CO State/Nevada match-up occurred because the other conference committed to sending an eligible team to the bowl did not have an eligible team available. (I think it might have been C-USA...) Ideally it would never happen, but the bowls did not have an ideal pool of candidates to choose from this year.

Weird to go from MT getting snubbed at 6-6 in 2014 to "not enough 6-6 teams, so we'll take 5-7 teams based on top APR" in 2015.
