Conference RPI has improved a bit
Our conference only moved up to 19th, but the last week or so has definitely been an improvement for CUSA.
3 teams inside top 100 right now.

You spoke too soon since we play Prairie View A&M next week - oh well our team has been better than expected so far this season

La Tech has a possible at large RPI right now. More importantly is we only have two teams worse than 300. It would actually help us if they lose every game in conference. Hopefully FAU and FIU can get over 250.

I don't many expected WKU to be in the top 100 other than WKU fans. I think this WKU team will only get better with each game

With conference play coming up, we will drop. And we probably will go about .600 in conference play. I expect us to finish around 140.

I don't disagree about dropping, but I think we do better than .600

Getting an at large isn't all about RPI as I'm sure you know. La Tech's blow out loses at Ole Miss and Memphis likely ruined any chance they had at an at large. At this point, UAB, La Tech, or Middle would need to run the table in conference play to even be considered. I'm including UAB on that list even though our OOC wins are only against other good mid majors. The committee tends to favor bubble teams who performed well in the tournament last year. If Middle wins today, I could see them possibly getting an at large if they suffer only 1 or 2 conference losses. This is highly unlikely given they play UAB twice and at ODU and La Tech. La Tech isn't going undefeated in the conference play. I'd give them less than 5% chance at an at large. Middle and UAB are CUSA's best chances.

True, Tech has the best CUSA win so far against #38 UTA and a quality win over #81 Ohio State that is coming on strong and beat undefeated #3 Kentucky (at the time) in Lexington. If Ohio State does decent in conference play thats going to be a good win at the end of the season

Pretty much. UAB has virtually no chance of an at large.

RE: Conference RPI has improved a bit
Any of the top 2 or 3 teams has a "shot" at an at large bid but MUST:
--go undefeated in conference
--make it to the tourney championship game and get narrowly defeated by the nearest top RPI team
~BON CHANCE!!

At least ODU fans cannot blame any of us for not getting them an at large bid this season....

Nope, we can't.
Instead, we can blame most of you for being obsessed morons -- ones who would rather see the conference suffer as a whole than accept criticism from the one fan base that was actually lobbying for improvement.
Yup, you sure got us. We all now universally suck.
(Except, just perhaps, for La. Tech, which actually has an outside shot of stringing together an at-large worthy season. But even a few losses in this conference will quickly dash those hopes. When/if that were to happen, most of the ODU fan base would feel badly for the Bulldogs. Not so, apparently, for the rest of you.)

Difference between lobbying and crying, whining, etc. that we all had to hear last season from a few ODU fans....No one wants to suck, but just maybe your gaudy record last season was a result of 10 non conference home games, just a guess though...
