If he declares and doesnt get drafted he is screwed either way. He should come back healthy, tear it up and get drafted next year.

He should weigh his options and listen carefully to what NFL scouts are saying about him. Hopefully he doesn't get bad info like Eric Page did. I hope he does come back, has a great senior season, and improves his draft stock.

Has yet to prove he can play a season healthy. As talented as he is I cannot see him having much stock

Big BIG mistake if you declare early for the draft Kareem. If you don't believe me ask Eric Page or that Clarett kid that played in Columbus

OL should be better next season. A big Senior season could a huge difference in money.

Exactly...he is a heck of a back, but hasn't shown that he is durable. A full, injury free season should position him to be drafted in a good spot next year. I would think that durability issues, plus his suspension would be enough to keep teams from using a pick on him. Selfishly, I'd like to see him stay...but wish him well if decides it is time to move on.

While I would to have him back, and I would love to be able to see him play live on more season, before this season I was sure he would not be back. The but the way this season went I am not as certain. If he is assured of being drafted he should go. Doesn't matter where he will be drafted the shelf life of an NFL running back it too short to stay in college for a year improving his draft stock. I think he will be drafted. You cannot compare his situation to Page's situation Page had 2 huge question marks that Hunt does not have. Size and speed, he does have the durability question mark but I don't see that being a big enough detriment to his being drafted in this day and age of platooning so he should apply for the draft in my opinion.

He should stay. However we are so deep at RB that the team will be fine if he does go. The key next season will be the defense. The offense will do just fine.

He did not perform up to his potential this season. I don't think the NFL is impressed with players who lay back.

RE: Hunt will consider leaving for NFL
His durability alone will get him a pass from scouts this year. He has to come out next year and play an entire season and put up at least 1600 yards to get back on the pro radar. At this point I think his stock is lower than Page's at this same time. If he can't stay heathly in college, good luck in the pros. But if he leaves, we will see zero production drop off, so if he thinks the grass is greener, don't let the door hit you on the way out. Coming back to compete for a championship should be priority #1.

Hunt lost his top and speed and burst through the line. Maybe he gets them back. Stay here. Backs in the NFL are a dime a dozen.

"Sounds like a great idea!" - E. Page

Seriously though, does he really think his limited numbers are going to get him on the radar? If he gets back to 100% and plays a full healthy season, he could be a first/second round pick. Right now, he's an undrafted free agent. Just my two cents.

Kareem has size that EP didnt have compared to his position. Kareem will get drafted baring a 5 second 40 time. He tore up enough teams for a reputation by the scouts. 150 on 15 carries vs SEC East champ Mizzou will go a long way.

Above all, Kareem loss some speed from last year. Don't know the factor(s) involved but, to me, it was noticeable. My advice, get your degree then make future plans.

RE: Hunt will consider leaving for NFL
i understand the desire to play at the highest level drives most athletes but he has to understand the big picture. He has health issues and isn't even in top 10 of backs projected for draft this year.

Unless he knows that he is a top 4 round pick, because that is what it will take for him to make a squad and see quality playing time, then stay one more year in college. The reason why you leave school early is to get drafted and a solid chance of playing time. If Hunt leaves now and ends up an undrafted FA, he will cost himself millions because of his stock for the 2017 draft

RE: Hunt will consider leaving for NFL
He lost his O-Line coach, that I think would be his biggest driving reason for taking his chances with the NFL this year. A BAD year next year could hurt him more than not having completed a healthy year this or last. He's a pretty young growing kid and those injuries are going to happen. If he can get his measurables to a competitive level, that's all the NFL will need to get him into camp. If he wants to be drafted, then I think he has to risk another year here, knowing he's going to be splitting time with two or three other capable backs and a HC that has a love affair with his "balance" numbers, whether the other part of the equation is there or not.

Pros Going:
If he feels his measurables are competitive and it's worth risking the camps.

Pros Staying
More experience developing receiving skills and for his body to mature into the muscle he's put on it.

Claret made it to the big time. Wait, no, that was the Big House. No, not that one, the other one. Where your elegibility remains after four years.

RB's have short life spans in the NFL. The kid runs like a maniac. He's an injury away from being done totally. If i were him, and I had good info... i would leave. His coaches say he would be a top 10 back in the league given the chance. I agree. He will be a fantasy option next season. Call me crazy. We will see.

I want some of what you're smoking.

He regressed from last year. He may or may not have lingering injury issues. At least from the games that I watched (almost all of them), he appeared to have lost a step and he can't get the edge. He can't catch the ball out of the backfield. I don't see him as an NFL back at all.
