That seems like an unfortunate hire.

Clawson was OC at Tennessee and head coach at Richmond before taking over BG. And then Babers was head coach at Eastern Illinois before taking over BG.

Jinks ... hasn't done much.

RE: Coaching Carousel
There is some chatter from a writer at the Michigan State 247Sports website that some NFL teams have put out feelers for the ND head coach.

They have done this in the past too so nothing new there. I do know he wants to get to the NFL as a head coach when the chance comes around. Maybe this could be the year and maybe not.

Who knows.

If ND has a job open then we might get our first P5 to P5 move this coaching season.

I could see the ND job opening up this year. Pat Fitzgerald would be a great replacement but not sure if he leaves NW. Maybe ND looks to the NFL in John Harbaugh or Chip Kelly.

Doubt Colorado would be a hot seat. They really improved this year from 2-10 to 4-9 with 5 losses by 8 points or less.

Only 4 wins in MacIntyre's 3rd season, and only 1 conference win. He's 2-25 in Pac-12 conference games. My guess is that he's gone unless CU wins 6 in 2016.

Not surprised it would come from MSU website because we're battling over a 5 star recruit right now.

Edit- He just committed to us.

How many JR/SR on next year's team will be kids he brought to the school?

In order, it has to look like this:
-Purdue (Hazzell safe this off-season, but the writing is on the wall.)
-Arkansas (Bilema is anything but safe.)
-WVU (No contract extension coming, the buy-out for Holgerson drops from $6M to $2.9M after next season is completed...)
-Texas (Charlie Strong has another year to improve, but if the Horns don't he's toast.)
-LSU (Miles needs to be looking at his options regardless...)
-California (Dykes screwing around puts the spotlight on him)
-Nebraska (Riley is in hot water...he's glad he's only in year 1 of his contract, but the drums are beating.)

I think Johnson at GaTech is OK for 2016, Stoops at UK is OK for 2016, and Wilson at Indiana is good for the foreseeable future.

It would be even more interesting if both the ND and Ohio State come open this year. That could cause some serious chaos in the P5.

Could happen, but does Urban have the itch for the NFL? BK has in the past but has been pretty definite in saying no(I know that doesn't mean anything really)interest now.

RE: Coaching Carousel
Urban is a college guy and would be wise to remain in the college game. His system isn't something you run in the NFL and he is a raw, raw type of guy and that just doesn't work in the NFL.

You guys can probably take Nebraska off the hot seat list since people will want to give Scott Frost time at UCF to see how he does before going down the whole hot seat stuff again.

If Scott wins after two seasons at UCF, then a change could be made with a higher probability.

Georgia Southern would likely look to Charleston Southern or The Citadel for a replacement

Well, sometimes schools can be dumb and fire a coach and make a downgrade with the new hire.

Hi Georgia!

Would have been the same with LSU.
